  3. Bin bit busy the last couple of days but still here. Got a 100 mile bimble in on the CBF yesterday and get the dash and rear cams set up. I have worked out to get the video off the mounted cams but it is a little protracted tis a learning curve. Interesting to watch the tyre pressure rise as the tyres warmed up. I knew it happened but was interesting to see it happen in real time. I do like the Aoocci thinger I have fitted to the bike, a toy I know but useful and interesting to me. Spent some time on Shadows bike this morning as she picked up a rear puncture. Fixed with a repair kit, it was in a safe place to do so. Also noticed that she has covered 2100 miles since her birthday last October. Think she will need a new tyre in the next 1000 miles or so. I took her CB125F out for a 10 mile spin after doing the tyre, all good. I must say that it is a thoroughly pleasant little thing to ride, I don't want one but would commute on such a thing if I worked within 10 to 15 mile of home. Very frugal on fuel and comfy, if dog slow. I remember from riding it in the dark that the lights are very good for any bike let alone a 125.

  4. Wanna ride a lap of the USA and do it at 70F / 21C the entire way? Here's a map showing the route and dates you have to follow. Funny how you can spend the entire summer in Colorado and never see it get much warmer. The July 1st dot is where I live, you'll need to head south and outta the mountains to see 70F / 21C after that.

  9. Had a great stag do there for a mate of mine. Woke up in the morning wearing a pink dressing gown in a house I didn’t recognise. If that wasn’t bad enough I was hanging out of the back door guzzling black coffee when the milkman delivered the daily pint and said “ooooh another wedding is it?” Apparently, I was in the Best Man’s house and he’d been the Best Man at loads of weddings…….fucking hillbillies

  11. The early model WK650Tr used a CDI manufactured by Ducati Veglia (not Ducati bike manufacturer) and most of post 2016 bikes used a CDI manufactured by Bosch, but the earlier model cannot utilise the later Bosch CDI. The early model CDI seems to be made with unobtainium but with much searching one could be found in Alibaba (think that is what the site is called ) but they are a hefty price, around £450 . Iam on a Chinese bike forum, and a couple of members have purchased (a few years ago I must add) the said CDI from that site, but it took many weeks, in one case a couple of months to arrive. One of the problems with the Ducati Veglia CDI is that it is a poor design (stated by a guy on there who knows his stuff) and a new CDI would most probably (in his opinion) fail after a time, and he tried a couple of companies who specialise in repairing CDI units, and they were unable to effect repairs on the Ducati Veglia CDI. So, £700 for the bike, and £450 for the CDI,and if you paid for other repairs and a MOT it effectively makes the bike not a viable proposition.

  18. Just looked on AliExpress and there is a CDI for £285.. But the one in photo looks nothing like the CDI that was fitted to my bike, could be a risky buy.

  26. Took my car for a MOT today and had to stay and sort some vehicles. One of the boys hadn't turned up as his misses was hospitalised. No news yet but hope she's ok tomorrow as I have my own work to sort.

  27. I tend to attract them as well, I always put it down to me being a decent, pleasant and approachable individual, not sure why you attract them, unless you are hiding your light under a bushel on here.

  31. On the Beta group page someone pointed out the difference between the X Trainer and RR air filter cage and said on my bike their interchangeable which sounded correct as they use the same air filter. So i ordered one and it arrived tonight The one on the left is for the X trainer looks a bit more restricting than the RR one. The bike is running a little rich from new and is definitely thirstier than the 2022 bike so hoping this will help lean it out a bit without messing with the jetting. So put a clean filter on and fuck it don't fit. I placed the cage on a piece of paper and drew around it and the footprint of both cages are identical it's that locating spigot thingy is about 6mm longer than the X Trainer one I got my needle files out and started filing a new locating bump, after about 30 minutes it was done and it fits just need some time to test ride it now

  39. I’ve lost my license once, they took it for two months but there were no points system at the time. I had one normal speeding fine, one dangerous driving offence, and one serious speeding fine, in less than a year. Currently, I have a couple of small speeding ones but don’t check the website, I worry they’ll know I’m nervous

  41. I was in Bournemouth today, looking at a couple of roofs, but the weather was ok. Always lots of morons crawling along in Dorset. We have a live in carer arriving tomorrow for MiL as she appears to be deteriorating. The chances of her going back to the US seem to be receding :(. This has been a pretty shit month.
