  2. Productive few hours had in the sheds. F7 engine back together with it's very worn disc valve, clutch and slightly shorter piston pin as I couldn't get the right size. Rover head back with 4 new exhaust valves, inlets faced, all seats recut and all ground in. My valve spring compressor had a hard time when coming apart so I borrowed this only gem which had no trouble. Prob about 75 years old. I've had to make up a piece of wood which will sit on the under side of the head as the cam is held in with the same head bolts, that way I can get the valve clearances sorted. I'll measure up one cylinder, 2 valves, at a time only fitting the shims and buckets to those so I don't stress the camshaft. I'm told they can snap pretty easily.

  3. On-Board w/ Doug Henry racing a 'Lectric 'Crosser....& winning on it. Pretty impressive knowing that his paralyzed legs & feet are strapped to the pegs ...so his cornering speeds are down from the others...but he sure makes up for it getting that beast to hook up outta the corners! Dude definitely knows how to Haul some Ass-- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVL7HwD-9nw

  5. Would you be able to start it in somewhere rocky or muddy by yourself with no battery? The lithium battery on my bike died overnight from being fine to being the same as having no battery at all. The Exide shop that I went to after had their full range in stock, but told me that they'd never advise someone on a lithium battery if you go places away from home and want to be sure your bike restarts after an overnight stay or even a long enough stop for lunch

  8. The Battery was dead before i got the bike out last weekend, after the charger recovered it enough to show some life i bumped it down the hill and it was good all day. Put the optimate on it when i got home and left it on. Tried the bike just now and battery is dead again even though the optimate was showing it ok, disconnected the optimate and put it back on and its in save mode again that was 5 minute ago its starting the bike again now fucking Lithium batteries are shit

  12. I was just watching this and thought it might be a good thread idea or maybe not. Classic rally cars on some of my favorite biking roads with little to no room for errors. Imagine watching this with the volume up and the cars are EV's

  16. There's a neat little button to push on the battery to push and it shows what the state of the charge is, it's showing full at the moment. Just checked if there is a parasitic draw on it but found the fuse gone in my multi meter don't know if its been gone for a while or i blew it today, have just ordered some more at a cost of £2.50 for one with £5 postage or £12 for five ordered the five i'm sure i can blow a few more. Got my multi meter out the van i use for work and it has a 0.43mA drain on it anything up to 50mA is acceptable so no problem there. Going to leave it disconnected for a while see if it goes dead again the bike is in a warm garage so i wouldn't be expecting any issues especially as its only just over a year old.

  25. They stopped fitting the kickstart to the newer bikes as Beta has a very good reputation for reliable starting but it would be nice to have one and i would get one fitted but i'm just not sure i'll keep the bike long enough to justify the cost.
