Swedes and Norwegians love either high revving american V8s or highly turboed european 5 and 6 cylinders. Give them a strong turbo european 8 or 10 and they’ll go insane. You see, they either get drunk for the winter or build an engine, I think it’s both4 points

It’s long been an ambition of mine to go to the speed weekend at Arsunda lake in Sweden. There is another one at Orsa, or there used to be. It’s a frozen lake and you can race what you want including this mental snowmobile built around an Argus type pulse jet. There used to be a channel on YT for the team that built this and I think they eventually got to 300kph on the thing but I can’t find it now. In early development ( I.e. beers around a bbq running the thing up) they had a noise complaint from 7km away. I have a small collection of these ( much smaller) pulse jets, they are unbelievably noisy. I can’t run mine here, the whole village would complain. Edit to add, should have read the thread more carefully, didn’t see @Pedro had posted the same link3 points

The weather has been shitty for the past weeks so I haven't ridden the hornet that much. My first impressions will be comparing it to the CB500F as it's the only reference that I have. So, the clutch lever is a bit heavier than the 500 but still light. The gearbox is as smooth or even a bit smoother than the CB. Power wise, it's a total different world. The Hornet is a beast! I was used to the 47hp and this one, with almost double of that, is a monster and I'm scared of it. It's the good kind of fright though, as it makes me want more seat time to get it tamed. Other than that, I miss the heated grips and today I got the windshield. Haven't ridden it with it on yet.2 points

I've talked to the sales man and told him I didn't like the short (120mm) levers on the Hornet. He told me I could swap them with the ones I had (160mm) on the CB500F. So I went to the dealership to get the Hornet's original exhaust and to swap the levers. I also really needed to go back to the dealership as I couldn't find the 2nd Key of the CB500F the day I went there to get the Hornet.1 point
