Good afternoon everyone, It's coming close too 1 year since my dad passed, time has flown by very quickly. I thought it'd be good to quickly reply to some questions i've gotten either through here or on FB / Whatsapp. 1) The funeral was small, it was only myself and Ali in the end, due to Spain typically having a funeral with-in 2 days of the passing it was all done very quick and suddenly. 2) I got to see Pete in hospital the day before he passed, he seemed to be recovering well, so it was indeed a shock that he passed the following morning as i was arriving to visit him again. 3) I've taken over his business and also the forum for the time being, so things will still continue to be online for the foreseeable future. 4) Ali is doing as well as could be expected, she's still living in Spain but it's going alright. 5) I'm not planning any public service or remberance for Pete this coming year, there's still a lot on-going, but i appreciate all the love / support from everyone. Please do continue to take care of the forum and yourselves, i do come to check-in on things from time to time. Best regards, Scott - Petes youngest Son (Living in The Netherlands)8 points

My experience is pretty much the same as yours. The motor is an animal for sure, I have come to the conclusion it's the power delivery that makes it feel quick, pulls really hard at lowish revs where you do most everyday riding. I absolutely love it. A fantastic bike that I see no need to change. I have only done 3500 miles in the 16 months I have owned it as I have been doing most of my mileage on the CBF600. While the CBF is a comfy old slipper with good wind protection getting off it and onto the Hornet makes it feel a beast all over again. Not sure how you will get on with that screen, I had the same one on my CB500F and I didn't notice much of an improvement, but you are probably a different shape to me so it may work differently for you. I always thought it made my CB500 look like an alert Cockatiel Oh and if you are looking for a rack the SW Motech one is excellent, beautifully made and a perfect fit and not very obtrusive to the look of the bike.4 points

26f here & been snowing since 10pm last night.... pretty stoked about making it back up my steep driveway in the white stuff yesterday.... Along w/ the new front axles, those 3 dead car/boat batteries make for some great ballast in the back of my truck... no sense in paying good $$ to get rid of 'em2 points

Dani is built like a slightly taller Marc Marquez, he is what Honda thinks of when they design a bike.1 point

The weather has been shitty for the past weeks so I haven't ridden the hornet that much. My first impressions will be comparing it to the CB500F as it's the only reference that I have. So, the clutch lever is a bit heavier than the 500 but still light. The gearbox is as smooth or even a bit smoother than the CB. Power wise, it's a total different world. The Hornet is a beast! I was used to the 47hp and this one, with almost double of that, is a monster and I'm scared of it. It's the good kind of fright though, as it makes me want more seat time to get it tamed. Other than that, I miss the heated grips and today I got the windshield. Haven't ridden it with it on yet.1 point
