  1. I'm guessing as there's nothing to read this morn everyone was on the beer last night. Shopping, she getting her nails done later so I might see if the Matchless is available to remove the front forks. I had a piece of threaded bar made to screw into the top of the fork leg to tap them out and with the nut to fit pull them back in again. 15/16 BSF And it's raining again.

  3. I'm pretty sure she's chosen a Worcester Bosch so I hope that's ok. The plumber seems very confident that it's a good one.

  5. We have to have a new boiler fitted soon, I'm very wary as our existing Baxi Bermuda has been fine for over 35 years .

  6. It gets better, the new flush valve didn't seal so had to swap that this morning for a different make so that's done now. Decided to put a new bog seat on while i was at it so called into B&Q to get one but when i got home it was grey instead of black ffs. Took it back and had a mess about with the return because i didn't have a receipt, even though i was only there 30min earlier they couldn't find it on their system. Anyhow i got to change it, wondering how i made the mistake of picking up a grey one i double checked, the display one was marked up location 4 and all the seats in location 4 were grey. Then i looked at the display one again and it said the only colours they came in were grey or white yet the display one was bloody black so ended up with a different bog seat to what i wanted as well LOL.

  12. Beer!..beer!...my Christmas booze is still in the fridge untouched. I will start the scoot, it needs a run really, then I will clear up the fallen branches from the garden, they are from next doors (dead) tree, but always end up on my garden. Apart from that, a usual day here.

  24. Off work today as i had to visit the dentist this morning for a checkup, or should i say so they could take money off me for the sake of it. I've had a productive day so far, i weighed in some scrap, fitted a steering wheel control interface in the marmite wagon so i can use the buttons i thought i could live without on the steering wheel, took the boy to his training course and just changed the flush valve on the upstairs toilet which has been driving me mad these last few weeks, i originally thought it was the fill valve so i changed that and it was still dripping, the drip, drip, drip, in the nights was driving me insane, so this week I've been turning the water off to it every night to stop the drip, which then led me to the real problem. After turning the water off overnight i found the tank was empty in the morning the flush valve seal was leaking slightly and when the level dropped in the tank the fill valve opened causing the drip, fuck me i can see why the chinks used water torture in the past. Now all i have to do is find the bloody leak on the central heating system, i haven't topped it up since fitting the new boiler about 8 years ago but this last week i have to top up the central heating system daily and i have no idea where its going can't find any wet patches anywhere.
