Cheers Saul, it was the only one they had left and luckily it was the colour I wanted. Finalised a plan to ride up to Segovia on 25 May to meet up with six mates from the UK. First night hotel in the city centre and then camp for a week or so before heading back home. Can’t wait. No fixed plans, each day’s destination will be discussed the night before and the only non negotiable is the weather.4 points

Buddy and his wife Edna went to the state fair every year, and every year Buddy would say, "Edna, I'd like to ride in that helicopter." Edna always replied, "I know Buddy, but that helicopter ride is fifty bucks, and fifty bucks is fifty bucks." One year Buddy and Edna went to the fair, and Buddy said, "Edna, I'm 85 years old. If I don't ride that helicopter, I might never get another chance." To this, Edna replied, "Buddy that helicopter ride is fifty bucks, and fifty bucks is fifty bucks." The pilot overheard the couple and said, "Folks I'll make you a deal. I'll take the both of you for a ride. If you can stay quiet for the entire ride and don't say a word I won't charge you a penny! But if you say one word it's fifty dollars." Buddy and Edna agreed and up they went. The pilot did all kinds of fancy maneuvers, but not a word was heard. He did his daredevil tricks over and over again, but still not a word. When they landed, the pilot turned to Buddy and said, "By golly, I did everything I could to get you to yell out, but you didn't. I'm impressed!" Buddy replied, "Well, to tell you the truth, I almost said something when Edna fell out, but you know, fifty bucks is fifty bucks!"4 points

It would be nice to put faces to the names but 300 miles there and back plus 200 miles on the ride would kill me. Still semi crippled after getting my back done.2 points

Which one are you doing? I’ve done the Guildford one for the last 2 years and will go again this year. I’d put a link to my page up but I’ve had a few and would bugger it up.2 points

That is a smart look bike Skip. Very practical and I would imagine a good everyday rider. I like the white as well.1 point

It is a nice idea to have a (kind of) Pete,s Memorial Ride. Sorry I can't attend, 200 mile to the start point for me, then a 200 mile ride, after the ride (maybe) a 150+ mile ride home, too much in one day, and on a 250cc scoot, very very doubtful.......so to those that do make it to the event, Have a great time. 🏍1 point

That's a 400....had 1 of those too. Although the wheels are sized differently, same 7 spoke design. My last wife rode the one I had, until some drunk jackass almost hit her.... so we then gave it to her Dad. He & I rode to Castle Rock WA back in '94 to watch the 1st Flat Track national in 14 years...since Mt. St. Helens blew. My father-in-law used to flat track a pumped 850 Norton back in the 70's, so he had a blast on that trip...he was like a little kid in a candy store...couldn't sit still to save his life! This shot is from our campsite only a few miles from the race track...1 point
