Last year was mad, so hopefully this year will be slightly more sane! We're hoping that travel restrictions will ease and we'll be able to visit family and friends back in the UK and have folks visit us. I think that a new bike is on the horizon!

Cotton liners are an essential too, definitely. Extra layer in the winter or on it's own in the summer. I used to take mine if I was staying away in hotels in the summer too. So many hotels put a duvet on the bed with no top sheet in summer, so you either roast with the duvet or freeze without it. I used to take the duvet off the bed and sleep in my liner, which is much more comfortable.

I'll second that, Bob. My snugpak sleeping bag is still going strong and packs down reasonably small and keeps me warm at night, unless it's really cold out. I've only got the 3 season rated bag as I don't see me camping in the middle of winter!
-
It says that it's rated up to 135kg?

No, I'm afraid not much point these days........dry bag probably sums it up perfectly!

I got one of these bags too. So much easier to pack and find stuff in than the traditional roll-top drysacks. You don't have to pull everything out of it to find the thing that put in first and then discovered that you needed! https://www.lomo.co.uk/acatalog/motorbike-drybag-holdall.html#SID=83

I don't know if you already have a camping chair, but we bought a couple a few years back and they were a godsend for additional comfort outside and even inside the tent. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trekology-YIZI-Portable-Camping-Chair/dp/B07NT77GT8/ref=pd_lpo_1?pd_rd_i=B07NT77GT8&th=1

I spent years travelling for work and spending endless nights away in hotels........the novelty wears off after a while.

All new year events were cancelled here, so we stayed home and saw the new year in with a Zoom with friends in the UK. Fairly restrained with the beers, so no sore head today! Anyway, happy new year everyone. Let's hope that we can get out-and-about with fewer restrictions in 2022.

Don't you believe it, mate. They know exactly what they're doing and it isn't for anyone's benefit but their own!

And he says that he was influenced by John Lee Hooker.

Eurotunnel got this wrong and misinterpreted what was said. Basically the French ministry of the interior said that people with EU residency can transit into or through France, but anyone without EU residency is not allowed at the moment, due to Covid-19 measures. So, it's a bit of a non-story. I certainly prefer the French to nazis!

Happy birthday to Bo Diddley.

I voted for @Sir Fallsalot, because you get 2 bikes for the price of one! And I like the scenery and the composition.

It's the mix of bike and bike related stuff along with the banter that entertains. Like @MooNsays, it's just a bit sad when occasionally it gets a bit too personal, but fortunately that doesn't seem to happen too much. Otherwise it's pretty well balanced and humorous. Thanks for all the time and effort you put into it, Pete. And thanks to all the others on here for the entertainment.
