  1. The H1 500 Kwak also had that reputation.
  2. Definitely, Grace, I'd like to hear more of your exploits. 🏍
  3. Nice part of the world. Did you stop off at Buckfast Abbey to get some supplies for @Buckster?

    day out

My late brother-in-law didn't like tomatoes, but loved pizza. We pointed out the the sauce had tomatoes in it, but apparently they're a different type of tomato!
  5. Yeah, all these different paint schemes for each season! And the prices!! My Bell is pretty noisy, but the visor doesn't fog as much as others I've had and the fit is perfect. I can wear it for hours with no problems. I think I'll be looking for a new lid soon though. I want one with a drop down sun visor. So I'll be on the lookout for the right lid and any deals around!
  6. Saves money on haircuts though. Shove it through the washing machine every now and then! I used to work with a guy years ago who insisted that his wasn't a syrup! Anyone new there who hadn't met him yet we used to warn them about his wig and try to not make it too obvious looking at it when they met him. He used to say to them "I guess the guys have told you that I wear a wig?" He'd then try to get them to give it a pull to "prove" it wasn't a rug! How we used to laugh!
  7. I've bought loads of decent secondhand gear off eBay over the years. I sold a Rukka jacket last year that I'd bought secondhand and used for several years. Got back what I'd paid for it!
  8. I'm not a brand snob, I just like things that do the job well. Price doesn't really come into it, except I normally look out for stuff I like when it's on sale. I don't think I've paid full price for any of my gear!
  9. I can see the pyrenees from my village, Rob. I'm planning on heading across to explore.
  10. Neck tubes, or Buffs. I never ride without one now and have a small collection of my favourites. Swapped to the autumn/spring one today as it's pretty cold in the mornings at the moment.
  11. My last 2 lids have been Bell M5X because I found that they fit me perfectly. I've tried lids from other manufacturers and many of them don't fit properly or are tight across the temples, which results in a blinding headache within an hours riding. The sizing seems to vary depending on the manufacturer and I'm normally a large, but I've found that with some the large is too big and the medium too tight. So, to an extent, the brand for me is important.
  12. You seem to have a bit of a thing about hair, Pete?
  13. When I think back that my first bike jacket was a Belstaff, because it was cheap and reasonable quality. Look at them now!
  14. I'm a fan of Lomo and Kreiga bags for the bike. Lomo in particular are well made for the price.
  15. What you can't see in the picture I posted today is all the stuff crammed into my top box that I was transferring to the new house.
  16. Is there a brand of motorcycle gear that you always seem to go back to and why? Held gloves are the brand that I always find fit me the best. And most of them don't have that annoying seam that runs up the thumb and digs into it on the throttle hand. They seem to wear pretty good too.
  17. BikerDown were always on the lookout for old lids for use in their training.
