I had a chain snap on my Bonneville back when, the danger is that it lashes a lump out of your leg or wraps itself around the rear sprocket and locks the back wheel! Fortunately mine just doubled over the front sprocket and stopped the engine, but didn't damage the engine cases. Hopefully you'll get it fixed OK.

I saw ELO a few times too. They were actually the first band that I saw, when they did the Face the Music tour. Saw them at Wembley for the Out of the Blue and A New World Record tours.

We are only resident in these countries for as long as we're still welcome, Pete. This could be revoked at any time. Citizenship gives you permanence. Look at the people from other countries who have lived in the UK for decades and are now facing deportation. It could happen elsewhere if the wrong government gets in.

Bleach on metal is ok as long as it's not left on too long and is well washed off. Harpic black bog cleaner works wonders on really grubby headers.

Unfortunately I saw them after Lee Brilleaux's passing. Saw a tribute band, The Feelgood Band, who are pretty good and kind of endorsed by the surviving members of the original band.

I saw Kiss when they did a tour without all the makeup and gear, which was pretty forgettable! Cheap Trick were good. They were my late Brother-in-law's favourite band back then. The Flame had just hit the top of the charts when we saw them. Saw Bon Jovi at Wembley arena too, that was my ex's choice.

Yeah, that was what we went to see in London.
