  1. Facebook is brilliant for people replying to a post that they've clearly not read or understood! It's also great for finding people who don't understand irony or are looking to be offended!
  2. Nice photos @Pedro. Amazing skies.
  3. Paracetamol does bugger all for me. Ibuprofen every time!
  4. What's the convalescence regime?
  5. No news from Pete yet?
  6. I used to quite like my job. I got told where I was going the following day, but the jobs varied a lot and it was largely up to me what time I set out in the mornings. My customers were generally pleased to see me, because I was the guy that was going to sort the problem out. I'd have a good chat with them and get their analysers going again and often be on my way back home by mid-afternoon. I wasn't so keen on all the regulatory training that we had to do though! And some days would go pear-shaped and I wouldn't get home until late, but that didn't happen too often. Normally, my really late day's were when I diverted on my way home to help one of the other guys out. The point? Not all jobs are set 9-5 days, working with the same annoying twats day in,day out!
  7. I missed this yesterday. 4th December 1971...........
  8. It could be a definite risk, Clive! I think that I ought to put plastic cutlery in her lunch box for the time being!
  9. Yes, @Clive, but there's too many days left as far as she's concerned!
  10. He's also very good at shifting the blame when he fucks up! I guess that it's only a matter of time before he fucks up big time and can't shift the blame, but that's not going to help my missus in the short term, unfortunately.
  11. Psyching myself up for when Mandy gets in from work. A colleague of hers, who is completely incompetent and with no people skills, was made up to manager of the department that she works in. So she's now got an incompetent manager with no people skills telling her what she should be doing and picking holes in everything she does, so she's generally in a pretty foul mood when she gets home. She just needs to get through the next 18 months, when she can start getting her NHS pension, and she can tell them where to stick their job! Although, the way things are at the moment, I'm not sure that she'll last that long before telling them what to do with it!
  12. I think that our flights are around 200€ and the Premier Inns are around £50 a night. We've got to add parking at the airport and a few meals, but it shouldn't be too bad for a weeks stay.
  13. Are you busy icing the cake now then?

  15. How are you guys planning on spending your Christmas? We've got flights back to the UK on Christmas eve, to spend Christmas day and boxing day with my mum and my family. Then we're heading up to Cambridgeshire for another couple of days to meet up with Mandy's kids and maybe spend another day with my boys, before heading back on New year's eve. That's the plan anyway!
