We've got a soirée in the village Saturday night. We're making some mince pies to take along. See if we can convert the natives?

Thanks to all for the votes and commiserations to @Saul. I still think that his was the best picture, closely followed by @Pedro, @Six30 and @XTreme.

They are probably all Chinese anyway, Bob. Anyway, I can upgrade to a nice Samsung phone now, with my prize money!

Ditto!

I could change my vote for @Saul, but his is the better picture.

2C when I set out this morning. There was ice on the car when I got my bike out of the garage. Took the non-ebike, as I'm trying to alternate them. The early part of the route was a bit of a struggle, as there is a reasonably long incline to where I took the photos. The rest of the route was OK, but I think that I should have checked the tyre pressures before I left home, because the bike seemed to be taking more effort than usual. I'll get fit, even if it kills me!

China's finest pixellation! I think that there's actually a chinaman with a box of crayons inside my phone!

A one day ban? Must try harder!

It's normally a few degrees warmer here than there @Clive, but, if the wind is in a certain direction, it brings cold air down here from the snow fields on the Pyrénées, which chills things down a bit!

Cycled down to the beach again this morning. 3C when I set out, but got up to a whole 6C by the time I got back. I could see snow on the Pyrénées in the distance. Anyway, I liked to sky over the water this morning.

Have you seen the price of Photoshop? Mind you, if my 150€ Chinese phone can recreate photoshop level images, I could be onto a winner!

I had to vote for @Saul's shot, as it brings back happy memories of sitting opposite there eating the biggest pasty I've ever had........and, believe me, I've eaten a lot of pasties!

Cheers Bob. ️

It's well known that the common cold is a strain of corona virus. The problem with Covid-19 is that it's a particular mutation that people hadn't encountered before. This caused people's immune systems to overreact when they first encountered it. This is what lead to the high death rate initially. As more people come into contact with it or are vaccinated, the immune systems work out a way to deal with it without the overreaction. It's like the South American tribes that were wiped out or severely reduced by picking up diseases from the conquistadors, which their immune systems had not encountered before, so their immune systems overreacted. Diseases that the those in Europe had already developed an immune response to over time.
