  1. The joys of your jet-set lifestyle! TBF, at least they found you an alternative flight. Most just cancel your flight and then it's your problem to find an alternative! Anyway, I hope that you get to NL OK now.
  2. The bubble of the UK housing market has got to burst at some point, Rich. Sit tight until that happens.
  3. It's all go, this retirement lark! My sons were over for a week and then Mandy and I had a week near Venice. Met one of my old work colleagues for breakfast in Montpellier yesterday morning. Then spent the rest of the day doing housework in preparation for Mandy's son to arrive today with his girlfriend for a week. Then yesterday evening he contacted Mandy to say that his flight had been cancelled, but he's rearranged it for Saturday now. Mandy's got an appointment with anaesthetist tomorrow in readiness for her gallbladder removal the week after next. So, it's non-stop fun here!
  4. We're going to Lido Di Jesolo, Bob. Just over the other side of the lagoon from Venice.
  5. Been a busy time recently. My sons were over last week for a holiday, so we were pretty busy out-and-about. They went back on Saturday. Then on Sunday I went over to Montpellier with Mandy, as she's staying over there for a few days playing tour-guide Barbie to a crowd of customers and distributors. Anyway, she's back tomorrow, but then we're off to Italy for a week's holiday from Friday. So I've been busy clearing up after my boys visit and preparing for our holiday. Busy, busy!
  6. It's only getting up to 26C here tomorrow.......bloody disgraceful!
  7. Yep, it was sandy. There was a bit of a breeze coming in off the sea, which kept the temperature down a bit........still got slightly burned though!
  8. I took my bike in for a service on Friday to the joint Triumph and Honda dealers in Montpellier. While I was there I thought that I'd take another look at the transalp. No sooner did the demo bike get back from a test ride, it was back out on the next one. It certainly seems to be generating plenty of interest.
  9. I guess that I don't need to mention using a smear of red rubber grease during reassembly? If our bikes were not going to be used for a bit I used pop the calipers off and pump the pistons out a fraction. Then clean the pistons as much as was possible, put a smear of red rubber grease on them and then push the pistons back. Then I'd repeat this cycle until all the pistons moved out at the same rate. Finally, push the pistons back in and leave them until the first use of the bikes, remembering to pump the brake lever and pedal before trying to move them.
