  1. I'd hazard a guess that no they don't, could we not just shorten it to cock
  2. Well im sure everyone will agree that there doesn't have to be contact for a driver to be at blame of causing an incident, he was the one who was driving too fast so he's the one who was at blame
  3. Hmm OK mate whatever you say, I've been driving long enough to know what I'm doing, it's poxy bus drivers thinking they own the fucking roads that caused the incident, if I was on a horse and his driving caused the horse to scare and bolt who's fault would that have been then? The wanker in the bus or the person riding a horse? Or put it another way a twat on a harley is riding down the road and a bus heads straight for them on a narrow road causing you to swerve putting you in a ditch is it the harley riders fault or the bus drivers for driving too fast on a road that wasn't safe to do more than 25 or 30 mph. Either way you look at it I had as near as dammit stopped my truck as I was driving sensibly, the bus on the other hand was still doing at least 30 when I realised it wasn't going to stop, I took avoiding action which ended up with my nearside wheels going on to the very soft verge, the bus just drove on as if they hadn't been the cause
  4. What the real reason of not wanting to have a head on collision with a bus doing 30mph, I'm all out of wanting to have head on collisions these days it wore pretty thin 20 years ago
  5. Well that's this site fucked then
  6. Also how do they get so little power out of such a large displacement engine.... well it is American and the yanks are known for their large engines which produce no power
  7. They've missed a few zeros out on the dry and wet weights too I notice
  8. I've just got home from taking skye to the play cafe, next up is lunch and food shopping so unlikely to be out today
  9. It's not happening, I'm staying away from busses
  10. Prime the carb get it to tdc and give it kick if it doesn't work retard timing slightly and repeat
  11. Says who.... I've started a fair few older bikes before
  12. No crocs here mate, my boots live on the top step
  13. Don't say shit like that, you'll end up putting the mockers on it..... I have got on to heavy haulage which was my end goal in my career I've just got the opportunity to do it alot sooner than I'd expected.
  14. At first it was weird but I've got used to it now, I don't really notice it
  15. Just because you'd have told me to fuck off and clean it myself, why should I have cleaned it myself if I didn't make the mess.
  16. He's an ex driver himself he said he understands that drivers want their cabs a certain way especially those who live in it for sometimes weeks at a time and that if someone else uses the wagon and leaves it in a state that it's not the drivers obligation to clean up afterwards especially if the cab was clean to begin with, so because he was the one who authorised my wagon to be used and the driver who used it was nowhere to be seen that he took it on the chin and made the job good. Kudos where its due, he is a decent guy contrary to what I'd heard from other drivers
  17. Yeah I can't abide a scruffy fucking cab, mine is spotless, to the point last night on my way home I gets a call to ask where I was, said I'm on my way home and was told oh well we need to use your wagon for a rush job down to Catterick, I told the planner fair enough but I expect my truck back in the same way I left it. Got in to it this morning and the cunt who used it had put much and crud all on the drivers footwell..... well this morning I went mad and told the planner that either some cunt cleans it out or the load doesn't get loaded as I'm not driving it in that state (I don't wear boots/shoes in the cab) So yeah the planner ended up coming out to the truck himself and cleaning it up once he did that and it was to my satisfaction I told him there and then that under no circumstances does any twat drive my wagon again. Surprisingly he was very apologetic which is entirely unlike Bruce
  18. Yeah but we live in a civilised society not the medieval times like you
  19. Hey just realised that looks alot like pete....
  20. To be fair as a driver who's always had my own truck that nobody else drove I eased off with walk rounds after a while although I would always check lights and tyres/nuts the rest of it I was always just keeping an eye on things as I drove it
