Remember I'm not some unfit old codger, I've no bother with riding offroad... yes I've never been off road apart from mountain biking when I was younger and I wasn't bad at it so I have an idea of what I'm doing. As said if Bob or Fred would be willing to lend me one of their spares I'd gladly take them up on the offer. I unlike you don't shy away from water

So I went out on the bike to ecp and time constraints meant it was straight back home to pick up the sprog

Yeah that is the most likely culprit, it does make a slight knock when the brakes release so it is probably that

That is a very big possibility, I always use the auto release with the handbrake and I'm going to bet that it's slightly on the sticky side and doesn't quite release the brakes properly so they could well be on ever so slightly without me realising, if so then a 4 way caliper rebuild would be on the way to make sure they are working properly

On her mazda the front right brake pipe is starting to perish and on the jag the rear pads were below the legal limit which is a surprise since they were changed last year so nothing too big, got new pads and new pipe for 44 quid and they get the job of replacing them, the jag has an electronic handbrake and whilst I could do it I don't really have the will to be fucking around on the driveway in the wet/cold

No I have the day off tomorrow but both cars failed the mot yesterday so I'm off to ecp to pick up the bits to repair them and I'll be taking the circuitry route home so I'll stop for a proof pic for you layabouts
