You have a marvellous eye for a wonky building.

That’s good to hear. The Fowlups salesman who’s running it in said he’s surprised what a nice ride it is, much better than it should be, he seemed quite taken with it. Said it’s much closer in feel to a Triumph than a RE. We shall see. I’m not buying it for speed though (already have a lose your licence twice over in the Harley) hoping this ones going to be a slightly more relaxed affair.

Well yes their catalogue is a mess and they appear overwhelmed. If you found something you like you could buy it elsewhere but no DIN socket makes them a bit redundant doesn’t it. They sell a din to usb plug so you could have the best of both? I have the same as Pete, bought in Alcampo 28 euros. Gets used every time we pick the bikes up and charges from a USB socket. Seems to be doing a good job but can’t comment on its longevity, the reviews for all these cheap compact pumps are very variable.

Have a look at it and tell me where you think it would work? https://www.bsacompany.co.uk/bsa-gold-star/

If I had a BMW I’d probably have a look on Nippy Normans because they’re more likely to sell one that works or will charge from a DIN socket.

Shady as hell

Probably but I’ve never been into accessories for the sake of pretty, only ever stuff that makes travelling by bike easier, but I can see myself easily rolling down that path with this bike. If it ever arrives and works that is.

A zen garden on the beach

The red one has a decent amount of pin striping on it. The stickers won't be staying. They'll be working away on a catalogue of parts for sure, better covers will be round the corner.

And already looking like a wrongun

Nice, the pics look cold too.

Yer I've seen the demo bike at Fowlups, nice looking apart from the cheap stickers they used.

Not convinced it does exist.

Theres a thought.

Can't wait that long Bob, something has to come out of the garage (other than a defunct freezer ) next week.

Haven't ridden since before Christmas, the withdrawal symptoms are severe

Complaints at Fowlups are like water off a ducks back.

Fowlers rang yesterday, said they'd heard from BSA and are expecting delivery on the 1st/2nd Feb. Said it may well take a couple of weeks from that point to prepare the bike (what do they do exactly?) but he'd ring as soon as it arrives so I can go have a looksy

500 miles on 50 year old bikes. Whats not to like?

Got better as it went along didn't it. I'm not usually a fan of overly chipper vloggers pretending everything on their jolly jape is simply wonderful so it was good that they showed a bit of the frustrations involved. -
Happy Sunday Today is the first Sunday in a while I have no cooking plans, I was supposed to be joining friends down in Cornwall for birthday celebrations but I’m still black n blue from the aerial skiing I’ll be staying as still as possible, well I will be right after I tackle the freezer that went kaput while we were away and was too much for the boys to deal with. I completely forgot until last night when I saw watery freezer juice leaking out of the bottom at increasing speed. Odd that all of my appliances have kicked the bucket within a year or so of each other after 20 plus years. Odd and feckin pricey!

Phosphates. They feed the algae and turn the water green. I believe the phosphates get into the water from waste like sewage treatment.
