  1. Brewdog are barstewards though. The owner still hasn't learnt his lesson, can't stay out of court for more than five minutes for all sorts of shite.
  2. Goggles are a pain in the arse, good luck finding any that don't mash your glasses into your schnoz, steam up and fit nicely inside the helmet. Flip lid and drop down sun visor that fits over the top of your glasses would be my preference, best of all worlds, can wear your glasses, easily use the the sun visor when the winter suns in your eyeballs or shove it back in the shaded parts, a pinlock tends to help stop fogging and when you're at low speeds lift the front of the lid for the open face thing (lovely in the summer, or doing up misbehaving zips, having a sip of water or reading that address you stupidly wrote down on a bit of paper). My Shoei and Schuberth all work over the top of glasses (sunglasses cos I dont wear glasses but same principle), think Buck has a nice HJC or Caberg that does the same.
  3. Thanks for the info. Very appealing. Wouldn't want to just replace the crappy stickers, thinking they'll likely bring out an improved version, embossed/laser etched/proper badge, I dunno, but I wouldn't want to get the pin striping done and then wish I'd had it done on a better looking part later. Could definitely go for the striping on the front mudguard straight off the bat. I'll get the bike and see what the costs are. Matching the finish on the tank sounds good.
  4. This guy looks good. Any views from the pews @boboneleg? https://www.aceofsprays.co.uk/guitar-refurb
  5. 'Second City' built a lot of the new builds round here, they definitely had a love of all things wonky
  6. Nice, yes the front mudguards was along the lines I was thinking, they are plastic and I was also considering getting them properly chromed, then again I like the red and the pin striping would be good. Like the battery cover idea, might hang back and wait n see what they produce to replace the dumb stickers before doing something like that. I don't have high hopes for the quality of the paint, since they removed all the solvents paint seems a lot softer than it used to
  7. I'm maxed out on bike space now so for anything else to make it into the garage something would have to go and I'm not too keen on that idea
  8. Estate agent, banker, insurance sales or anything else with a legitimate title that involves behaving like scum.
  9. You have a marvellous eye for a wonky building.
  10. That’s good to hear. The Fowlups salesman who’s running it in said he’s surprised what a nice ride it is, much better than it should be, he seemed quite taken with it. Said it’s much closer in feel to a Triumph than a RE. We shall see. I’m not buying it for speed though (already have a lose your licence twice over in the Harley) hoping this ones going to be a slightly more relaxed affair.
  11. Well yes their catalogue is a mess and they appear overwhelmed. If you found something you like you could buy it elsewhere but no DIN socket makes them a bit redundant doesn’t it. They sell a din to usb plug so you could have the best of both? I have the same as Pete, bought in Alcampo 28 euros. Gets used every time we pick the bikes up and charges from a USB socket. Seems to be doing a good job but can’t comment on its longevity, the reviews for all these cheap compact pumps are very variable.
  12. Have a look at it and tell me where you think it would work? https://www.bsacompany.co.uk/bsa-gold-star/
  13. If I had a BMW I’d probably have a look on Nippy Normans because they’re more likely to sell one that works or will charge from a DIN socket.
  14. Probably but I’ve never been into accessories for the sake of pretty, only ever stuff that makes travelling by bike easier, but I can see myself easily rolling down that path with this bike. If it ever arrives and works that is.
  15. The red one has a decent amount of pin striping on it. The stickers won't be staying. They'll be working away on a catalogue of parts for sure, better covers will be round the corner.
