You could do part of it the old fashioned way til then and stick a saucer of warm water on top of a heat source (radiator, boiler etc) and depending on what type of cough you have a drop or two of Oilbus Oil or other decongestant in the water can be pleasant.

Victorias Secret Sweden gets woke, goes broke.

I look forward to a day when we look back and laugh at the morons who thought using a person of substance rather than a show pony to flog their stuff was even comment worthy. Like others have said who cares. -
The particulates in solid fuels are a shocker for causing breathing problems. The purifiers we use at home do an incredible job bringing down the pollen count for my hayfever suffering son but they are a physical filter not an ioniser, ionisers I believe do small particles like tobacco smoke. Anyway sounds good, fingers crossed

Ooh that is cool.

Gonna get up to 18 degrees in Salobrena … which is brill when you’re a thousand miles away, it’s four degrees and you’re going to have to spend all day proof reading your stressy son’s uni work because he got massively distracted by some skirt and the deadlines are today and tomorrow Somehow (I don’t know exactly how) at some point this will all be my fault which of course I will do my best to weather but I guarantee there will be proper FaceTime rowing at some point. Kids the gift that keeps on giving.

Brilliant. What to you paint/coat it with or will it be staying white?

Well Pedro you’ve gone n started something now. You and Clive have made me (yes made me) go and buy a load of herbs and I don’t know what I’m doing so shortly you could have a lot of plant death on your hands Went with- Thymus 'Archer's Gold' Thyme Sage Coriander Mint Parsley (Flat leaved) Chives Oregano Wasabi Rocket Dill Tarragon and two edible flowers for prettier dishes - Cornflower Geranium called Splish splash. Some are seeds some are litre pots ready for planting. As I’m well known for killing plants and it’s slug n snail heaven round here I’m not optimistic but you never know they say they’re hardy but will they be hard enough?!

No I don’t remember those at all Same here, food used to be very restricted to a traditional meat and two veg style because people ate the same thing over and over again, I remember my mum making spag bol and my Dad declaring he would not be eating spaghetti again which he did because we loved it. It exploded into taking in any cuisine from any culture to be the marvellous melting pot it is today. I think we have Curry houses and Chinese takeaways to thank for breaking that straight jacket and all those diabolical cafes and mediocre restaurants for fuelling the desire to take on dishes from around the world. Oh and not forgetting all those travel cooking progs, they did a huge amount to get everyone interested in food and demanding better quality. The foods scene in the UK now is so good. Theres almost no ingredient for any nationalities dishes I can’t buy in a bog standard supermarket in the UK and everything else is available online. That is one thing I miss in Spain, they have nice little speciality shops but always traditional ingredients and of course I immediately start craving the very thing I can’t get within a week of arriving, usually chinese

Its been pissing down everyday since the beginning of December. Don’t want to jinx it but have you had a look at next week? Looks like theres a wee chance of a dry day

I’ve had to have a rethink as I somehow conveniently glossed over the bit where I’m not going to be here to look after them. Am ordering some hardy herbs (that can survive neglect) that I use a lot of in the kitchen. I resent paying stupid money for those little packets of poor quality supermarket herbs so that should satisfy the green fingers, my wallet and my palate

So you’re not up for the free-fall into oblivion then?

I chucked out the food rules long ago when I woke up at 5am once and fancied a pie. I’m sure it’s healthier for you to eat what you fancy when you fancy it. Well unless it’s the persons a heffalump

I see..

It very much depends on what you have. If you have the flu strain they vaccinated against it would make a huge difference, if you have another strain then it would still offer some reduction in symptoms because your immune system would be faster to act. It’s hard to know who’s actually had the flu jab and gone on to have this flu thats going around, theres no compare n contrast going on. If you recently had Covid the chances of another bout of Covid flooring you like this are unlikely because your immune system is already primed to act against anything that looks like Covid, a different Covid variant would be expected to cause symptoms but not to the extent you’re describing. I’d put my money on flu. Back pain is one of the types of pain that seems to cut through everything, movement obviously but also sleep, good humour and just about every daily activity is affected so I hope you feel better soon.

On the Thompson website as we speak!
