  1. Saturday but the way things are panning out maybe 2024
  2. I really hadn't thought about that, so no bacon rolls or sausage baps for breakfast? I better not tell Mr Slowly
  3. It has wide garage doors but is and standard height so a Vito, a transit or any 4X4 would fit - but they can stay on the drive, if you're not a motorcycle you're not coming in
  4. Just tided up the garage, it had a fair amount of motorcycle gear unceremoniously dumped all over the shop. Sitting in my happy place having a cup of tea before I get back to it. Yes I know the clocks wrong
  5. That’s not your Uncle it’s that bloke off Coronation Street! Sorry don’t know his name cos didn’t watch it but I’m sure someone will be along in a minute who was forced to watch and will tell you his true identity
  6. Blimey o’reiley! It made my heart beat faster just reading that! A sound plan me thinks. Hope you have a days rest factored in after all the adrenaline you’re going to burn through.
  7. Kind of, have been throwing things in a cabin bag since I got back new coffee machine for Mr S so he’s a happy chappy and a kettle that won’t make tea that tastes like plastic for me Managers so often a triumph of ambition over ability. If you have any semblance of competence yourself you have to be careful around their fragile little egos and play their dumbass power games do not miss that rubbish. Suppose at least it’s motivated your boys to do something about it.
  8. So far this week life has been chucking shite in my direction and this morning I woke up thoroughly hacked off. But I just got a txt from a mate saying there’s a Black Friday sale on ski passes this Friday and to book up n come on over to their place. Gonna fill my lungs with some fine mountain air. Cheered me right up that has.
  9. Have I missed something or has everyone just skipped over that statement? What news?!!
  10. On my way into the audiology unit. Fingers crossed
  11. Hmm Glad to know you found a way that suits you. Would have preferred to know you deal in absolutes. But like you say best left there.
  12. Boat loads on today and all away from connectivity so no potential to waste time Hope to be done by 9pm, although that is hopeful, we'll see! There better be a massive G&T waiting for me at the end of this week if I get there
  13. No Marcel I jacked it in in 2018. I don't have many unanswered questions but when someone appears stating a definitive take on things they are asking to be asked.
  14. Knew all that stuff but still liked the Train and Tractor, if its true, I mean why run a train at 15kph?
  15. You make a lot of assumptions. I'm not the same as you were. I do not think I'm superior to Christians, Evolutionists or believers of anything else. I am not an atheist. I do not consider my life futile and have never felt the need to justify my existence or find meaning where there is none by railing against traditional religion. I worked alongside death for too long to have a fear of my own mortality and am masking nothing. I'm not confused and it isn't an attack. I'm sad you see it that way. I'm from a family where my mother was catholic, my father jewish, I was raised by a Zen buddhist, went to a CofE school and married an (at the time) Christian. I studied Religion and Philosophy until a lecturer told me I wouldn't pass without 'a faith' (any faith pick one, you just can't have none) and switched to psychology to get my head around these people who are so certain and deal in absolutes which was fascinating, as was the stuff about the potential causes of apparitions. I'm asking the questions every religious person seems unable or unwilling to answer, if you can't explain something to an adequate degree and shut the conversation down crying attack (whilst doing precisely that yourself) then how can you expect anyone to understand your beliefs. You say about being baptised for the redemption of sin and have your "one God" I simply ask if your vision of Christ came with a religion attached or if you had to pick one? There are 100's upon 100's out there all as certain as you but if you have the "one God" then do you believe all the others are wrong? ps I'm half minded this is a massive play for TOTY and if so I doff my cap, genius
  16. THANKS Pete! I'm gonna save it for later. Got to work now but I look forward to a cup of tea and that ron
  17. So you've had a religious experience. I'm guessing you're a later convert to the concept of true God, what format did this experience take? When these religious experiences occur do they specify a particular God or do you have to have the experience and then find the God that fits?
  18. Is this a wind up or has someone hacked Bucks account? So all the science is a man made construct but God is not? You can't prove beyond doubt any of it (particularly the story books) and yet you choose to one thing being the truth over another. The dismissal of one version (science) doesn't automatically mean what left is the answer. Why do you need to pick one to believe? Man being the funny little monkey puzzlers they are has always sought answers and when there's nothing obvious somethings made up that fits the bill, we don't do not knowing very well and will believe all sorts of nonsense if it purports to be the answer. The idea man needs to repent and submit to a higher power for the remission of sins is pure hocus pocus and if your keen on the idea of evidence and proof that is sorely lacking.
