Oh so illegal. The dimensions for a UK number plate lettering and board size is very specific, it’s points n fine worthy of breached. If it’s a private plate (ie not the number originally assigned at registration) your purchased plate reg is simply on loan to you and breaching the plate law can see your plate reg taken back! In reality you can minimise the size of the plate (the large yellow backing part) and keep the letters to the legal size without it obviously making a difference to the appearance while still improving the aesthetics If you change the colours, font or size of type face you’re asking for it! ps the rules are different for vintage bikes!

I have the RE engine guards from RE and they’re petty good for stretching your legs on on extended rides The hand guards I’ve not bothered with but am changing my mind. Apart from a dumbass gluing a grip weirdly that caused a clutch issue, Today I’ve finished riding my Himalayan to n from Andalucia for the fourth time with no problem. Is been a delight. Just does what it does the unobtrusive way it likes to.

Yer n not forgetting the war generations head shaking complaints about “the youth of today” and “what did we fight a war for?” whilst looking at the younger generation. Or did the 60’s n 70’s not happen?!

I’ve just finished stories of a London dispatch rider in the 80’s called “Where are you now?” by S P Muir It’s pretty short and wasn’t bad. He clearly held back on some of the really good stuff, I’m guessing from the tone of the book because he’s still afraid of upsetting the met police! Now I’m reading “The Adventures of An Introvert” by David Chapman which I’m hoping will warm up soon cos at the moment I’m bored with his wouldn’t say boo to a goose way of living.

Generational disapproval a story as old as time.

Hopefully the connectivity that the internet has brought means that globally youngsters are all pretty much the same. Imagine that, everyone says “No ta”

Alright with all of that apart from the above “just English” part. Appreciate the deserved diminishment but honestly the ruling elite are as cuntish to the English prols as they are to every other nation. The “just English” have always had a hard time with the sociopaths in charge as much as anyone else. A hard time indeed when you consider we’re at the hands of these loons and yet are also considered the awful English!

Hmm today was going to be a gentle day of packing for Spain but now my son wants his haircut which I offered to do yesterday while I was in Bristol and now his nose is out of joint because I told him to get on a train and my dad who knew best about what he would need post op has changed his mind about needing chair raisers. Of course it's now its too late to get them delivered in time and I'm going to have to drive for an hour to fecking pick some up. Urgh. It's a fine line between respecting someones wishes and knowing they're wrong and doing what's best regardless. This one I misjudged at my own cost!

They keep moving the goal posts on all things covid related but 4 weeks (was 6 weeks ) seems to be the new thang.

Glad it’s not your kidneys but not glad because it’s much easier if you know what’s going on. Hope your parents aren’t taxing!

Sitting in a room filled with the endearing olfactory experience of exhaled anaesthetic gases and starvation gut on a chair as hard as nails watching the Barry Sheene documentary. Then Sunday hopefully getting on the ferry to Santander

For Crimbo a couple of years ago I was given a gorgeous metallic sea green 'Hedon' helmet. I was instantly taken with it. And then I wore it. Twice. What a pain in the arse press stud visors are. Want to take your lid off? Easy peasy, unsnap visor so you can remove sunglasses before pulling lid off and when it's time to go good luck trying to press stud the visor back on blind. Alternatively wear no sunglasses and squint like mad or you could buy goggles that fit inside the aperture and reduce your field of vision by half.. such fun!
