  1. Just a weeny bit tired of being surrounded by nice people doing and saying good stuff all the time so I thought I'd visit here with moany whingers for a bit of fun. Not that a boomer would recognise that
  2. Not you golden boy, unless you wanna bring up those two boys on a birthday prezzie bike the police chased to their deaths, that was quite entertaining Or not depending on what makes you laugh
  3. He does but the memories going so he can't retain it between finishing the read and posting the post
  4. Salomon are the only brand I've ever found comfortable. I second that suggestion.
  5. Take your weird projection and stick it where the suns doesn't shine KD
  6. Honestly @Pedro that's one of the best ride reports I've ever read, so engaging, with some entertaining observations and lovely photos. We may have never seen eye to eye in the past but I'd seriously consider you for the MOTY based on that.
  7. There are some great statements and some utter bollox in that post but I suppose whatever opinions you've formed you're free to have so enjoy. Just for example the extreme control you refer to is our law against 'entrapment' they are legally obliged to tell you where the cameras are, even the police are obliged to release where they'll be with their mobile speed traps, this is more freedom than in other countries, no nasty surprise points or fines unless you speed without taking heed. The only place I have been caught out speeding is in Spain with their hidden cameras. Unlike many other countries, where you are unaware you're being checked upon, no nasty surprise points arrive in the post, in the UK they must by law let you know before you hit a trap or camera, people generally know they've stupidly been through a camera. See the pic below for a part of my trip from the Pyrenees' very soon. It's a camera hell on that route, not that you'll get any sort of warning while there unless you use the correct GPS. From what I can see, you did a great job on the guiding, some refining needed maybe but overall looked like you did a lovely job. ps seasickness pills need to be taken an hour before boarding, after you feel sick it's just not going to have the same effect.
  8. That pretty much describes my life
  9. Going to see a horologist in Brizzle about getting a 1940’s watch restored. Excited about that.
  10. Lovely pics @Pedro Almost good enough to make me wanna stop and take some pics but prolly won’t Look forward to hearing the rest of it.
  11. Every now and then when it’s just me to consider I relish not bothering to sort things out “I’ll just wing it” I think. Sorted Mr Slowly’s route and accommodation from Santander to Salobreña for this October at the beginning of July. Nice route and stopovers too. Have I bothered for myself? Nope. “86% of properties in the area you’re searching are unavailable” “92% of properties in the area you’re searching are unavailable” etc, etc. I may have to pack a wheelie bin to sleep in. Reckon I could fit one across the back of the Himmy
  12. For the F800 it’s just a back up battery to be left in Spain ready for airport parking lies about keeping the bikes charged. The Himalayan is still using it’s original battery, it’s been flattened and left flat more times than I can remember (courtesy of airport parking, one remiss previous owner and a datafuckingtool alarm) so it’s done pretty well but it is done.
  13. Honestly I don’t really like fairings or panniers but somehow thats still beautiful.
  14. It’s a message, even god wants her to stop reading cue cards and talk normally
  15. The just short of £60 is for the F800, the Himalayan’s was £38. Happy with that.
  16. Blimey thats good value. The Yuasa I’m looking at (at it’s the cheapest one) is just short of £60
  17. Same. Not the place but was persuaded into it one evening while out. Didn’t get to bed til 3am, had to be at the airport at 5 Never again.
  18. You’re a polite dude, round here that’s a bonus
  19. Cheers Clive. That was the name I couldn’t remember.
  20. Stored on a shelf degrading because they don’t have a high turnover. I want a place that shifts a lot so they’ve just come in from the manufacturer ie fresh.
  21. Sorry to asking this again but I can’t remember the answer. Where is the best online place to buy a fresh bike battery from?
