Dropped my sons off at the airport. Got the next load of incoming arriving tomoz at 2 or 3 in the morning No longer amused by this providing free holidays malarkey. Involves far too much work. Especially when the person booking the flights tries to save themselves a couple of quid by taking a flight at stupid o’clock with two stroppy kids. On the upside I did manage to get them a table at a great restaurant for Easter lunch so Ive skipped the pain of trying to cook an Easter feast in a broom cupboard sized kitchen. Time to try n fix the Himmy so I can escape!

Im not convinced there wont be. It takes time for the effects to be felt. It has to start damaging the very basic needs of food, shelter, warmth (thats considered to be clothing btw) and safety. Once enough people are in debt because they cant keep up with the repayments, repossession start, homelessness increases, death by hypothermia goes up and enough ordinary working people are in the same shitty boat thats when the anger starts feeding off itself and expands to riot level. If the government doesn’t respond swiftly with measures that salve before that point (chuck a few crumbs in the way of the peasants) then I wouldnt be at all surprised if it turns into riot level anger. Its not just pensioners who cant afford this, its the majority of the country- many that’ll be lucky to see any pension at all and they know it so its all fuel into to fire. Sadly the government is aware that they only need to behave and throw some money about 1 year before an election (they literally save up for this point) and then the twats will vote for their team again regardless.

As is the nature or Spanish government they made an announcement about travelling to Spain on Wednesday evening which they then removed and changed today, apparently the official documentation is so confusing even the Travel Office couldn’t make head nor tail of it At the moment they’re saying if you have proof of vaccination you will not have to fill in a passenger locator form for Spain, if that stays true getting your family will be a doddle! Plus from the 20th April they’re dropping indoor mask requirements apart from public transport, hospitals and care settings. Glad about that, fed up trying to sneakily gulp lungfuls of cooler air while wandering about the supermarket

Most of us want to simply check out, we don’t want what the majority get which isn’t death, first its disability. Sadly on the check list death is rarely the first option, becoming a dribbler that can’t ride or wipe their own arse is. The older you are the more likely you are to get the simple check out you’re after, the younger you are the more likely you are get the trapped in your shitty body option. Unmanaged blood pressure, atrial fibrillation and diabetes are right up there on the slow crappy exit list. If you want to avoid the horrible slow deterioration option those are the things to take care of. That and general fitness. Oddly its exactly the sort of people who don’t want medical care who also can’t abide being looked after when they stroke out, they’re a PITA. There endeth the nursey sermon, you don’t get to choose a quick exit and its rarely on offer. Unless you’re willing/able to take matters into your own hands which is generally so devastating most folk won’t do that to their loved ones.

Several times a day is more like it and a 24 hour recording’ is very useful, they usually go off every 30 mins though and being woken up every 30mins can really annoy, its make folks BP go up!
