I remember why I only drink watered down wine now. Found an order confirmation sent at 3am for fifty quids worth of silks and a complicated embroidery pattern of over 24,000 stitches for…. Evil Knievel 24,000 stitches, does anyone live long enough to actually do 24,000 stitches?!! Damn google images and easy to use upload services. Damn wine. Double damn autofill bank card details. Where have the safe days gone where there’s no way a sloshy brain would be able to correctly enter that many card numbers in a row? The place I booked in Dublin looks cool though, Ill keep that If anyones drunk ordered anything dumber tell me, its good to connect with fellow nut job shoppers

is there a compilation of BOTM shots anywhere? All the submissions not just the winners would be good. Like in a gallery with all the jibberjabber removed. Id love a browse of that.

Jeezus. Ive had a hangover ALL fecking day. This drinking malarkey is so much harder than it used to be. The floorings still not done, the washing machine still cant be used, no cheese gobbling happened, Ive not even had the energy to watch crap on the internet, but mysteriously Ive managed to string a sentence together to post on here, see how I prioritise you.

Good move Tym even more useless drivel there than on here

Bezzies birthday party last night, head really hurts now. Have to finish utility flooring today cos no-one can use the washing machine til its done. This maybe the last time I do the flooring myself cos as gratifying as cheap n neat is grovelling around the under worktops and machinery is boring as hell! Heyho the beef bourguignon currently blipping away will make up for the pain later hmm maybe a cheese cobbler to go with If one of you doesnt mess with the words cheese cobbler Ill be disappointed

There are major advantages to looking like a down and out, just ask Columbo Last week I took my dog to a new vet for vaccination, she looked me up n down in my nice frock, expensive coat n posh boots and rubbed her hands together Del Boy style, I actually thought oh shit, I know better than to go anywhere like that looking like I have deep pockets! 10 mins later the receptionist said £139.65 (Id been previously been told £60). What? For one dog, for one booster? Yes. There’d been a funeral (hence the nice clobber) and I wasnt thinking straight, in shock I paid and left. The next morning I woke feeling absolutely furious, particularly at the thought when I take my other dog down next week for her jab thatll be a smidge short of £280 on two f’in dog boosters..WTactualF?!?! Im no mug and this “professional” had seen I was feeling wobbly and truly taken the piss. I went back in that morning but this time in my overalls and steel toe cap boots looking the normal ragged state of someone who works. After some bullshit and some extended discussion (where I pretty much repeatedly shamed them until they could take it no more) there was an apology for the mistake and the money would be credited to my account. Bet they wouldnt have tried that shite on Columbo! So I can get us in for a viewing no worries, Ill play the unamused money bags and you can do the tutting over the cost of the renovations and we could pick it up for a few pence, he who dares Rodders

Superb. Love the medieval hall with all the rubble in it. The beams holding the up ceiling dont look too special.

The first thing that first came to mind was how will the pavement be supported with that many holes in it, some poor sod will be innocently wandering down the road before disappearing under the pavement. How did you find out about this fuckwittery in the first place?
-
I don’t understand, why so many? And how does that happen? At what level is the “oh yeh that’ll be alright” bullshit occurring? Surely that’s not on the plans?

Brilliant. Never been great at war memorial stuff myself, probably because of my own families history I find it heartbreaking, greed and insanity leading to so much death. I go I look and I leave quickly before tears embarrass other people. I went to the Holocaust exhibition and the imperial War museum and only got a quarter of the way round before I had to break into into a trot to get out ASAP. Got some weird looks and had a lot of tea breaks on that trip On a lighter note. Glad you have the right helmet for the right job now and the hjc is a good fit for you, when I tried that brand I had enuf spare space for my sandwiches (insert own joke about sandwich short of a picnic)

Is that really 11 manhole covers?

Reached saturation point on talking about covid Pete. Ill come back to the thread for a celebration when they finally drop all the restrictions which a certain foppy haired flip flopping charlatan says he’s going to bring forward from the 23rd March

I’m beginning to see why we have high numbers then. Apart from that shortage you’d be hard pushed to find a household here without a box of covid tests. But in Spain even capped at £3 euros its going to deter people from testing. My family have all had to test weekly for various reasons and that would be €12 euros a time, one one period we had to test twice a week which would be €28! No way I’d pay that if we were symptom free. I’m guessing that’s why you didn’t test when you and the wife felt a bit dodgy cos you don’t have a box of tests at home?
-
@XTreme how does getting covid tests work in Spain? I read that the covid lateral flow tests have to be bought or appointments have to be made and that the govt had to intervene to cap the price at €3 per tests cos being ripped off for basic testing. Is it not like here were everyone has a free pack of them (shortage’s allowing) at home and tests regularly as a matter of course?

Its suits the forum in a lot of ways Lionel. Carry on Biking while you can you bunch of geriatrics, carry on biking with the terrible carry on humour, carry biking the endurance/ hard core rider/ traveller. Can be taken many ways.. yep theres even carry on options in that sentence
