Only most of it? I could try some of the “poor me” stuff you prefer? Or have you been down the vino and made contact with your inner bitch again, just say cos then we all know to back away from the area.

MOTY Man (or Woman) of the Year Nominations!
Slowlycatchymonkey replied to XTreme's topic in GENERAL CHAT
What too funny for TOTY, much more of a MOTY. -
@XTreme you’re in a compromised state of health, take some paracetamol and don’t engage with the wildlife

On the bright side Spains chronic water shortages and the impending doom of rising temperatures and creeping desertification had a sprinkling of the good stuff while everyone snoozed

Ah its good to hear he’s had surgery. Multiple fractures are a long old haul with uncertain outcomes, everything crossed for a speedy recovery. Im not familiar with hyperactive stress response. Im guessing the explanation is in the title and your nervous system is easily stimulated to produce stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline? Thats a bit of a bugger for sure, being easily wired must be a bit on the knackering side! All go go go and then crash, recover n go again?

@Grace (BikeHedonia) oh dear that sounds like a nasty one. In the vid your shock is very evident, we all know youre a resilient sort but pls make sure you allow yourself time to acknowledge just how bad the situation was for you too. Hope youre ok. Adrenaline is a marvellous friend, the cocaine of the natural world- you’re fast you’re fearless you’re impervious to pain but when it wears off (it can take days for it to wear off completely) and your brain decides it’s safe to process what just happened remember to be kind to yourself and cut yourself some slack. Forging ahead hardcore styley is admirable but as Im sure you know somethings are better out than in. Really hope he gets the surgery he needs quickly and his legs salvageable, sounds likely they are going to find more injuries, poor fella.

Ive found the well received word ‘Idiota” seems to cover pretty much anything Government, Brexit or Covid related pretty well

Mince pies n mulled wine to aid putting up the Christmas tree and my boys home so we’ll drink gin play cards and mercilessly take the mick, just how I like it. And a stellar f’in menu thatll blow their socks off

MOTY Man (or Woman) of the Year Nominations!

“The battery is claimed to last for up to 40 minutes of intense motocross use or 6 hours of recreational riding. And it will take 1-2 hours to recharge.” Hmm so battery life varies between 40 mins and 6 hours I really hope the 6hrs isnt yet another overly optimistic battery claim.

Those stats cant fail to be fun. I love the ICE but Im not so old Im going to turn my nose up at something beneficial, especially if its rips strips off what’s currently available. Your not being disloyal by looking at electric bikes, no-ones gonna take your ICE away. My father in law built the house I currently live in, it used to be my husbands grandmothers. When he built it she refused to move in because she didnt want or need that new fangled central heating…. Eventually after being told it didnt ever have to be used ever she moved in. Within a year that central heating was on full blast from October to May for the rest of her life… just saying.

It’s the bit where you have to put it on every insurance renewal for feckin years even though it’s not your fault that gets on my pip. Every renewal I’m reminded of the tosspot who drove into the back of my car and refused to acknowledge he’d done any damage so after initially saying to go ahead with the work his insurance company then said they wouldn’t pay. Grrrr. Id try n keep things off the books for that reason alone, unless they’re a snake like the bloke in this scenario is then I’d be more than happy for him to pay ridiculously inflated prices for a hire car

I started reading that with a large degree of scepticism and by the end was considering paying a deposit If it’s all true it’s very impressive. Like most new technology I’ll wait and see what real world use throws up but I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on that one. If you see any other reports would you mind sticking them here? I was already hooked before I got to the customisable by weight with two wheel sizes but now I’m sold
