  2. I noticed the savvy parents found their way into the pool area remaining fully clothed and sat drinking beer n reading while us less than sensible ones got whacked in the face by sheets of water and the limbs of squealing children Bicycle hire is a good move but you might want to face the inevitable now and book up early cos the seasoned parents have all the good shit (and bicycles) booked up long before they arrive!
  3. Blighty for a holiday Work stuff meant we had to return (not surprising). It looks like there maybe a miracle work cure on the horizon (don’t count your chickens etc etc) so perhaps Spain on the bikes within the next couple of weeks
  4. I heard screaming but I swear I was not doing 30…
  5. Which centre? Its like going on holiday to your local council run sports centre, rubbish food and overpriced activities. Took mine three times under duress because thats where their school friends were going. Only thing I can say thats helpful is take flip flops for the pool showers because the changing rooms have that slippery slime on them that you cant bear to wipe on your towel and who wants wet verruca sludge on their feet Good luck
  6. Oh right tell me that now when its too late to offer us a cup o tea!
  7. Spent the weekend at The Aviator in Sywell. I’m a bit of a sucker for time pieces and its an old art deco officers mess that was so well looked after they kept the original Art Deco fixtures n fittings and turned it into a hotel. Its still a working airfield and has a museum attached (shut this morning so cant tell you what thats like). I loved the old furniture and architecture. After a lovely ride in the sunshine across the Cotswolds it was a great place to stop. The food menu does not do the place justice at all, it was well executed but very basic pub menu (gammon egg n chips, burger n chips etc etc) but they said they had to pull the menu right back because just like other hotels they cant find staff and have to keep it as simple as possible. Cheaper than most premier inns but much much more interesting. https://www.aviatorhotel.co.uk/
  8. Are you familiar with Godwins Law?
  9. Also all power to you and your daughters elbow being brought up in an environment where its not a problem for her or her new friends to mix just like normal people do
  10. You haven’t tried hard enough! Or maybe you’ve never lived in a very Conservative area where not reading the Hate Mail is enuf to get you on a watch list
  11. Tis the other way round, the mental problems develop when theyre not free to be who they want to be. When a huge variety of shape, sizes, sexualities (or not) are all shoe horned into just two categories and derided by society if they dont fit. The being fucked up part comes from the language and intolerance surrounding them. Imagine being a gay boy surrounded by derogatory comments letting you know your types not acceptable, the very thing you are is used as an insult, something to be ridiculed and avoided. Think that wont effect your mental health? Just look at how many gay men lived tortured lives even getting married and having kids because society doesnt approve and they cant accept who they are. Wrong isnt it. We all know that now, well most of us. This wave that (older) straight people find it difficult understand is a sign of a new freedom. I look forward to the day no-one gives a shit what your gender or sexuality is. My boys are now 19 and 20 and they cant understand why its part of the conversation, that the older generation is always banging on about “gay” or getting their hair off about a man preferring to dress like a woman, they think older people are repressed and obsessed with it because to them its no big deal. The younger generation get that sexuality is a continuum and you can be anywhere on it and dont even have to stay in one place. Thats likely all a bit progressive for the demographic on here but thats the joy of the internet isnt it, it connects the generations so we can all move forward fall out together
  12. @XTreme Be grateful for your lowly place and dont make a fuss while we line our pockets, melt the planet and reduce your life expectancy or you’ll be branded a commie troublemaker!
  13. If you crack it your a bit screwed but Indian use cast aluminium frames….
  14. Hahahahaaa love it. That little guy knows how to laugh at himself ay but better still Fury’s so ready to pummel the living shit out of anyone that although he’s laughing he still looks like he’s considering snapping the little fucker in two

  16. Who’s gonna dare tell him they made his suit from children’s curtains?
  17. @Sofia Great pics n write up Sofia, enjoyable even if the monuments were hiding from you!
  18. Thats one stressful run! Like everyone has already said, glad your wife’s on the mend and your back home
  19. Not surprising I second this! Id say have a test ride on it and any of the other contenders you can because one is bound to be a much better fit for you and then an extra bit of moola (if needed) for a great fit seems irrelevant.
  20. Come on man you cant still be sore you didnt get a party bag
  21. Really enjoyable, I’m reluctant to use this word because its misused and maybe slightly sickly sounding but this writer is a real gem. Love the brick story
