Black gear in the sunshine isn’t my favourite. Got a grey jacket which is just right for hiding the dirt and not absorbing the heat but ended up with black trousers because one pair was hands down the best on comfort and fit. When the sunshines beating down on them the temp difference between the black trousers and the grey jacket is surprising. Really want a good quality touring jacket but went to helmet city and the best fitting jacket was a cheap LS2 so far nothing I’ve tried comes close to it, reckon fit is far more important to good functioning than any of the other bells n whistles. Still want the really badly fitting Klim one though

Well I can’t be arsed with most of it either, the sooner a woman on a bike is not a novelty item and is just another person on a bike the better as far as I’m concerned so I get your sentiment. But if you want to know why women will attend women only events and not mixed ones its cos they are in the minority and some twattish men will do and say things to put them down, why they are crap and why Johnny big bollocks is better. Some of its just meant as humour but crikey even that you can get pretty tired of “Bitches on the back, are you sure you can handle that bike love, does your husband know your riding his bike, women just aren’t as good riders as men, mopeds are better fit for women... and heaven forbid you make a mistake.. You and I might be able to brush it off but it knocks the confidence of some repeatedly hearing messages that some men think they’re crap for no other reason than they don’t have a dick so they’d rather ride a bike with only other women for that reason. That and there’s nothing wrong with celebrating being female. “it’s not fair” to have a womens ride day cos men don’t isn’t valid to me. Men and women are different, equality is about equality of opportunity not denial of those differences. Personally I don’t mind riding with men, I like them, the vast majority of them would much rather help you out than put you down, but I’ve also ridden with women only and it was a surprising experience, really good so chilled out and friendly, try it Sophia you might like it.

My competence with anything electrical extends as far as changing household light fittings, sockets n switches etc not happy going any further with motorcycle electrics than the battery Sounds like I’m gonna have to find another mechanic doesn’t it, bollox. He’s the best one round here too the other two do not have a good rep

Heres a pic of the jumbo sized ‘custom made’ bracket the single USB port currently sitting in Not keen on the spliced electrical wire being stuck together with wound on electrical tape. Wouldn’t mind it wasn’t in such an exposed place but electrical tape never lasts and isn’t exactly waterproof.

No canbus (which also seems to make bmw mechanics wince ) it’s the Bandit. Hmm so what’s these things already attached to my battery? I’m guessing has to be 2 of the following- my optimate lead, the gear indicator (which was plug n play), and or the USB port. Before it went in it was only the optimate lead on there

Bike service n MOT went well and the gear change indicator is fitted (haven’t looked at it once cos don’t remember I’ve got one) and also asked for asked for a dual usb so I can charge my camera, helmet, battery pack whatever in the tank bag while still using the sat nav. He said Okies but he would have to find somewhere to drill. I said I’d rather it was one on a bracket on the bars than seated in the bikes fairing. Well I can’t say I didn’t get a bracket on the bars unfortunately not a dual port and cobbled together Heath Robinson style so I want to switch it over to what I originally wanted- see pic below. Thing is I dunno what I’m doing, I’m guessing it contains everything I need and I’ll just need to thread it through the bike and attach it to the battery? Being a musician is hard, most develop a more sophisticated musical ‘palate’ than the chart music they knock out for money but they have to perform the same tub thumping stuff over and over. If youre good at entertaining you know exactly how to ramp crowds up and for the muso it becomes quite predictable and tedious. Its why every now and then you see performers behaving in a contemptible way towards the crowd, clapping at them like seals or implying theyre stupid. @XTreme I choose my sound stuff by the number of watts. Generally the higher the watts the better the quality of sound. Even if you dont want to listen to things cranked to the max the overall sound quality is better from a more powerful unit because the kit has to be able to handle the output without blowing the speakers. If the watts are measured in PMPO (peak music power output) its a sign of shite equipment, the loudest noise a speaker can kick out at its peak is not a good measure so your looking for the highest RMS watts you can find within the budget you set. Can’t remember what RMS stands for but its power output measured over time to give a mean which produces lower numbers that manufacturers dont like to reveal if the gear is crap so they hide behind PMPO. Its very hard to recommend a particular brand as most are completely inconsistent in what they produce. Sony for example generally gives you very little power for your money but occasionally produces something good. The size of the speakers and the RMS watts are your friends when trying to sort the wheat from the chaff. The bigger the better has always been my experience especially for bass sounds. If the watts are not listed or hidden in tiny print avoid. If you already know this stuff my apologies. edit- looked it up RMS is ‘route mean squared.’

For me the only thing I can think of that biking would lose to is family. My other half said sex. And being a billionaire didnt even cut it. Is there anything you’d choose over motorbikes?
