  1. Hmm now I look like a wally... ?
  2. Great pics ? Where were they taken?
  3. I’d never say it’s too many miles or too far because what’s enjoyable is a subjective thing. What your doing is a lot by most peoples standards- more hardcore than a jolly to a cafe for a cup of tea and home again! One day I road 6 hours and couldn’t have been happier to stop, it was boring and I was knackered, later in the same week the conditions were terrible and it took 17hrs but it didn’t seem that far or that long, tis all very variable to me. Look forward to hearing all about it in May. Thanks for the link. I’ll have a read up?
  4. Blimey that’s a lot of hours on a daily basis. Do you do any training for that or do you just regret that you didn’t half way there? ?
  5. Are you sure it’s a scan of a body? Looks more like marble paper ?
  6. Most wise. When it happens how many hours a day do you anticipate being in the saddle?
  7. Hi Demon Glad its your nickname cos if it wasnt your parents werent too fond!
  8. In the UK driving or exercise after abdominal surgery is 6 weeks because it can take that long for muscle to adequately mesh back together. Performing an emergency stop in a vehicle or exercise can pull things apart. But I dunno what youve had done, if they went through muscle, I’m guessing looking at the scar maybe they did. If so Id try to wait if you can, if youre impatient then just waiting a couple of weeks would help. I have seen folk come back in with abdominal wounds reopened. This in no way applies to you (really Tym in no way) but it was impressive and sticks with me so I’m gonna share it anyway. One was an emergency caesarean incision (so an unusually large incision that lacked the usual finesse) and she was holding her innards in with her hand. Wasn’t her fault, she had a toddler as well as a new born and it’s impossible not to lift them. She felt it “going” a few times but it seems fine so she carried on until suddenly it really wasnt fine! She was ok in the end after a redo. Proper zombie apocalypse styley though!
  9. Its an oldun but a good’n- Plenty of rest and stay hydrated, avoid any stress apart from this forum thats fine ?
  10. Pretty sure anyone would say visiting a handicapped person in a home was ok. TBH so long as the home is willing to accommodate the visit I’d just go and if stopped say it’s been pre-approved by the home, any queries contact them. Then again if I thought it was needed no f*cker on earth that would stop me seeing my brother so I’m probably not dispensing the soundest advice! ? BTW what’s the fine over there?
  11. Oh I’ve got one of those. Don’t think it works the same way though cos it’s red. And I’ve never used it ??
  12. Aaw Mucho friend to all the losers, freaks n weirdos no-one else can stand. Oh wot wait a minute.... damn.
  13. How much more is needed before it turns from “alleged” to proven? Asking for a friend ?
  14. It’s an area of expertise I feel you’ve had more time with, so combine that with your let us say ‘slightly above normal’ interest in balls, bums and ointments, your natural ability for a higher form of empathy based on owning the same flibbery jibbery whitebait bits I’m thinking the kindest hands, the most experienced hands are yours. Now you wudna want to deprive a mate in need of that now would you?
  15. You mean there’s more than one literary genius here?!
  16. Oh you’ll get one a minutely detailed yawn fest as every tiny forgotten detail seems new and exciting. I saw a car, it was yellow... and then another one, but that one was blue, I think the blue one was nicer than the yellow one. The yellow one was driven poorly. I’ve done a compare and contrast. See chart of vehicles I saw below. Then there was this stuff wizzing past me, I think it’s called fresh air, I’m not sure it’s been so long since I’ve seen the outside world it might just be wind. I’ll Google it later and let you know what I found. Then there was this yellowy ball in the sky, not sure on that either, might be one of Tyms, would be tricky to retrieve though. You won’t be sorry you asked, its bound to be a blinder ?
  17. Well Tym if you find this thread (that alone will be a miracle the way this shit show is run) then you can see we’ve all been hoping it’s done n dusted n you’re on your way home all fine n dandy. Particularly Dandy, I could imagine you rocking dandy. I tried to donate on Bruce’s ball jar labelling charity thread for you but couldn’t see any bank details so I spent it on new gloves I don’t need instead, being kind hearted I knew you wouldn’t mind so Tym thanks for the gift ?
  18. OUCH ?? Get a load of next weeks forecast then. Likely all lies but it was nice to say to my husband “hey look at this and it’s not Spain!” Vroom vroom
  19. Pop tarts, I didn’t know they still existed, I thought they were a children’s food lost in the annals of time? ? Great views. Hankering after fresh air now. It’s chucking it down here!
  20. Lol now I know youre definitely unbalanced ?
  21. Wow we’re talking OLD old. I know this is might sound a bit daft but I find it quite amazing how long buildings last if humans inhabit them and how quickly they decay n get reclaimed by nature if they dont.
  22. Honestly I’m not sure what I was thinking, it’s even worse when you know this was only 2015 ?? From the expression on my face you can tell I was clearly lost (again), my delightful friends enjoyed photographing my clueless face as I slid by in the wrong direction... again
  23. If that’s the 80’s you were waaaay cool, no fluorescent gear?! Christ I look more like a refugee from the 80’s now than you did back then! Hang on I’ll try and find my best/worse gear choices. One season I wore a Panda hat. Yep it’s not a typo.. a fake fur Panda hat, not sure if I have a photo of that though.
  24. Intriguing, worried they’ll join the thread and spill the beans? ????
