  1. Feel like I’m doing something bad ordering food for just myself, I’ve never done this before, it’s… great the order has been placed. Cod, chips, mushy peas, curry sauce and tartare sauce. The curry sauce they do isn’t the bog standard, it’s very very good I bet someone comes home and I get caught
  2. It’s the Harvest Home today and it’s absolutely hammering down. This means all the milling around and activities outside the marquee will be a washout and everyone will be crammed into the soggy floored bar area getting pie eyed even earlier than usual. The rugby club run the bar and Mr Slowly will be there all day. I’m trying not to pretend I find that very funny. Tis especially sweet as the boys are off sugar soaping and prepping the walls for painting so I’ll have the house to myself and intend to totally waste my day I’m considering ordering fish and chips just for me
  3. You drugged her, how else is she going to sleep through motorcycling Tourette’s.
  4. Well that explains why they didn’t bother getting back to you. The bikes came in, people turned up sharpish and they sold like hot cakes. You might have to up your game.
  5. Yer it taste better than it looked (not hard) but I wouldn’t bother with that one again.
  6. Not sure but whatever it is it will be the best bike he’s ever owned, completely reliable because of the dangerous motorcycling he does in Spain and why anyone would want anything else is beyond him
  7. I want to say and at that post! Your poor whopped wallet and that you’re lucky to have good family. They always say enjoy it while it lasts, as I get older the more that becomes a very sensible statement
  8. So far the breakfast of sausage n beans with mushroom omelette, the seafood boil and the cheesecake have been good, worth looking forward to eating. The meatballs in gravy, no, not awful but not something I’d look forward to so that’s out. This one ‘Bodged Fajita’s’ is a definite yes. Again small amount of ingredients so it’s easy to carry and make and there‘s less waste. Missing from the pic ‘el paso’ fajita seasoning and sour cream, sour cream is not widely available in Spain, however they do have creme fraiche and there will without a doubt be beautiful lemons to sour it. I did two versions one with already cooked Swedish meatballs because I was concerned about the chicken version solidifying into one lump. I needn’t of worried they both had to be broken up minimally after cooking in the kettle for 40 mins at 95 degrees. Missing from pic the ‘El Paso fajita’ mix Forgot to mention a hefty chunk of butter went in The meatball version, the meatballs were quartered before cooking. The chicken version, released a lot more liquid but was somehow still just as good flavour wise. Happy with that because spring onion, peppers and chicken are available everywhere and it was extremely easy to put together as well as being food to look forward to. The tasting panel wolfed 12 tortillas worth in a very short time leaving the bowls empty and gave both the meatball version and the chicken version a big thumbs up.
  9. Had a lovely ride back from Clevedon Motorcycles. It really made up for the crappy bickering the boys were doing. The motorway looked busy on the way up so I came back on A and B roads. Got a bit of the devil about me on the the A370 as some guy was keen to catch up and then hung off my back wheel in an annoying fashion. I thought I wonder if I can lose him on a Himalayan? It’s obviously a slow bike but I have the advantage of being in front and if I ring it’s neck I think I might.. no don’t be stupid.. wait.. what’s happening.. my arm has been possessed.. stop twisting the throttle… mwahahaaaaaaa
  10. Just trying to envisage it with a hulking great top box… mmm… yep.. there it is
  11. Either helping the boys with the decorating or murdering the pair of them. It’s 50/50 at the moment
  12. Dipped out of helping the boys do the decorating today as they started bickering hard over where to put an armchair and totally pissed me off. So I’m going to pick up the Himalayan and go for a spin before tomorrow’s atrocious weather arrives and drop off a birthday prezzie for a friend who’s 80 today.
  13. I bought somewhere nice I can sell easily if I need to
  14. Probably for most of the tosspots who live there
  15. No way Pete, the Honda is the best most reliable fantastic definitely not boring jack of all bike in the world and everyone should get one.
  16. Apartment bought and keys collected. Love the place. Had a la-di-da G&T and a slice of Victoria sponge to celebrate. Now back home to have a good glass of the best apple juice in the land. I loved the gates into the basement parking, usually a horrible neglected area but this was real batcave stuff Posted this last one because wtf is it? BMW boy racer?! Tomorrow I take the tradesmen’s entrance (yes there really is one ) and start the decorating
  17. On my way to Brizzle to pick up the keys for the boys apartment
  18. Fair enough if Saville got in the ring with a thug and no agreement in place he was asking for it. The rest of it is still only about money. They are entertainers, extremely fit athletic entertainers but that's all they are.
  19. Of course it does but it is illegal and most sportsmen in common with those wrestlers are incredibly driven (they have to be to get where they are) but competition and winning is so important taking a dive for money is the end of them. You are just remaking my point which is they choose money over legitimate sports and if that’s what they want that’s ok but don’t expect me to respect someone who reneges on a money making deal!
  20. Oh I do understand. There are plenty of legit tough guys in rugby so I’m well versed with men who like controlled violence to mask their desire to bash people. But that sort of wrestling which I used to watch and enjoy is neither violence nor sport. Yes they are ridiculously fit and some are seriously tough but they choose vanity and money over the many recognised sports. From cage fighting to Olympic level wrestling there are so many choices that aren’t about putting on a show. No matter how hard they train or how tough they are they chose to be entertainers and take part in a parade. That’s fine, why not? But I’m not going to hold them in the same regard as sportsmen when everything is fixed and agreements are made for the sake of entertainment to then be broken because one entertainer doesn’t think another is worthy.
  21. Got as far as the first sentence saying $999 and stopped reading
  22. Went with son to GP appointment. Was surprised by the level of knowledge the Doc had and her attitude was excellent. Didn’t even have to ask for a referral to an immunologist, she did it straight away! She also prescribed high dose steroids for emergency use and made a note he needs three adrenaline pens so I don’t have to argue with the practice manager next time! Happy with that.
  23. Well I agree he was very creepy before the truth emerged but it wasn’t widely known at the time, he didn’t know and I prefer it if folk do what they say they’re going to, particularly if theres a contract (verbal or otherwise), anything else is dishonest. The fact it was fixed and not real makes it even more farcical, they were entertainers, Saville was also an entertainer. Would I like to see Saville get a pasting.. what’s the channel number?
