  1. On my way to Brizzle to pick up the keys for the boys apartment
  2. Fair enough if Saville got in the ring with a thug and no agreement in place he was asking for it. The rest of it is still only about money. They are entertainers, extremely fit athletic entertainers but that's all they are.
  3. Of course it does but it is illegal and most sportsmen in common with those wrestlers are incredibly driven (they have to be to get where they are) but competition and winning is so important taking a dive for money is the end of them. You are just remaking my point which is they choose money over legitimate sports and if that’s what they want that’s ok but don’t expect me to respect someone who reneges on a money making deal!
  4. Oh I do understand. There are plenty of legit tough guys in rugby so I’m well versed with men who like controlled violence to mask their desire to bash people. But that sort of wrestling which I used to watch and enjoy is neither violence nor sport. Yes they are ridiculously fit and some are seriously tough but they choose vanity and money over the many recognised sports. From cage fighting to Olympic level wrestling there are so many choices that aren’t about putting on a show. No matter how hard they train or how tough they are they chose to be entertainers and take part in a parade. That’s fine, why not? But I’m not going to hold them in the same regard as sportsmen when everything is fixed and agreements are made for the sake of entertainment to then be broken because one entertainer doesn’t think another is worthy.
  5. Got as far as the first sentence saying $999 and stopped reading
  6. Went with son to GP appointment. Was surprised by the level of knowledge the Doc had and her attitude was excellent. Didn’t even have to ask for a referral to an immunologist, she did it straight away! She also prescribed high dose steroids for emergency use and made a note he needs three adrenaline pens so I don’t have to argue with the practice manager next time! Happy with that.
  7. Well I agree he was very creepy before the truth emerged but it wasn’t widely known at the time, he didn’t know and I prefer it if folk do what they say they’re going to, particularly if theres a contract (verbal or otherwise), anything else is dishonest. The fact it was fixed and not real makes it even more farcical, they were entertainers, Saville was also an entertainer. Would I like to see Saville get a pasting.. what’s the channel number?
  8. As Saville wasn’t a baddie at the time and it was clearly for entertainment purposes beating the shit out of him when there was a prior agreement makes him a bit of an ahole doesn’t it?
  9. Unrealistic to think someone who has shown no interest in exercise will go out in all weathers to ride a bike. Also people who don’t ride bicycles don’t realise it can be hard work no matter how slow you go due to other factors. A static and a normal bike yer I can see that. Go out when the weathers fine but otherwise the temps Pete has to hide from during the day would mean it just won’t happen. When I was big into endurance cycling everyone had a static as well as a real bike because it was easier to build up cardio fitness and control the pace and because sometimes you just don’t want to go out in the ice and snow.
  10. Cheeky git, I’ll have you know all of my female rels (bar me and one who’s a lot younger) have popped out brats into their late forties and early fifties, one of them had an oops baby at 56! And secondly fuck that!
  11. Toast is in a rack on the table obv! And no hash browns, my bad I thought we had leftover potatoes to sauté. heyho
  12. Have exchanged on my sons apartment, due to complete on Thursday Feels weird, on one hand it's exciting and I'm really happy for them getting their first proper place and on the other I'm really not because this is probably our last summer all at home together.
  13. You'll find Earl Grey jelly pairs better with berries
  14. And a loaf baked ready for sandwiches later today.
  15. Smoked salmon and cucumber jelly, tasted great, not sure in my attempts to make a little flower of smoked salmon in the middle were entirely consistent, some of it looks in need of surgery
  16. Ah I was referencing her back ache complaint. If you’re small you’re stretched out further, it can be tough on the shoulders and back.
  17. Good Omens on Prime. Lightweight entertainment that raises a smile or two. Worth the time, kinda
  18. Glad you’re feeling better now, sounds like it’s been a rough one!
  19. Speaking of wonky donkeys @Saul’s been a bit quiet and where’s @Tango? I think we are entering the phase when we need to contact social services if someone doesn’t check in
  20. She is small though, a larger person wouldn’t be stretched out that far.
  21. Sometimes there is a bit if that involved too. They never want a job as a bog standard farm hand
  22. Mind you there are still plenty of life on the farm type programmes aren't there!
  23. Some people get an idea about wanting an outdoor life, or moving to the countryside as a fix for a working life they hate. Often people who have spent some time bored to tears in an office in a town or city doing a pointless job they dislike. I used to blame 'The Good Life' but now they are too young to have a clue about that programme
  24. I have to own that one, it wasn't at all clear
