Kettle Cooking and Food On the Move.

I think Pedro that the way you ride about it doesn't ever take you to the point where you're fed up with restaurant food. I find after a week or so I'm sick of over oiled over salty food and fed up finding somewhere to eat when I'd rather not stop and would like to get some miles under my belt. I also get fed up having to have the same conversations over and over again. I'm from so n so, I've come such n such miles, I do blah blah for a living, yes I'm on my own, no I'm not brave. Yawn. The peace and quiet of your hotel room resting up and eating food you actually want takes on a different appeal once the novelty wears off. I'm guessing the cafes you stop at are not mostly Spanish speaking and you don't stick out as foreign or female -

That is an amazing bit of kit. Do you have to wander grind gathering twigs though or do you take pellets or what? -

You carry a wood burning stove on your bike? This I need to see! -
I carry an extremely large amount of gluten free food with me when riding any distance which I'm bored of doing, it's bulky n weighty. I'm tired of loading it on and off the bike and lugging it to and from hotel rooms so I'm ditching most of it to give Kettle Cooking a go. I bought a standard size kettle which will replace my travel kettle and have started an experimental kitchen on Kettle Cooking. There are lot's of reasons people choose not to rely on restaurant/cafe food, particularly when on the move and wanting to cover a certain number of miles. What do you do to avoid stopping or eating in hotels, restaurants or cafe's? Take a pre-made sandwich and flask? Carry a pannier kitchen? Stuff your pockets with cereal bars? Or fuel up and eat whatever forecourt horror is available?

Not the first flash this year either. 500 wildfires last year devastating large areas. Worsening drought and water sold on the black market. A sad state of affairs. I hear Malaga has decided it can't refill the majority of it's pools and some regions have banned the filling of swimming pools using mains water and due to the electricity prices the law prohibits air-con below 26 degrees. It's going to be a miserable summer for some.

Imagine all the motorbikes they can ride.

Aw lovely pic. I see he has one foot slightly forward in a cool pose and yet no hand on his hip, how can this be?

He didn't go to his brothers wedding?

Mostly experimental kitchen. I’ll be trying out kettle cooking. Starting off with easy stuff, first up a form of breaky - eggs, sausage n beans. Then I think maybe some maybe meatballs and spaghetti. If that goes well there’s a dish I’m slightly fearful of probably because in America it’s often served (even in restaurants) in a plastic bag called ‘Seafood Boil’ They are very proud of it in South America so I’m told. It’s usually seafood, potatoes, corn, and sometimes sausage (not the proper sort, the frankfurter sort) cooked in a bag in heavily seasoned butter. Managed to upset someone a lot when I joked I wouldn’t fancy eating food out of a bin bag

That is a knackering schedule for people who can't walk far. Maybe amend your flight booking and add assistance, your ego maybe shouting no way at you but you have a hernia and a wife who's going to do herself a mischief. I've used it twice for my mum who has arthritis and its ace, no walking while carrying bags just get on a golf cart thing and go to the front of the queue, whoever's with the person with assistance gets to go with them automatically. You might be last off the plane but they take you from the plane on another golf cart thingy straight to the front of the passport control queue. Fucking brilliant service. edit - both times she avoided the arthritic flare up that inevitably happens after lugging bags across an airport.

The one that surprised me most was Elliot from ET. You’ve probably watched something with him in and not even realised.

I think short round did well though. Can’t quite remember how.

Yep no that long after the Goonies. Shame, very common theme for artistic types.

My day today has mainly been reconciling with my youngest brother. I think we are heading for good news on that front A bit of complete honesty is always a good balm.. or the start of the next fight I expected it to happen if he ever had any children. I just didn’t expect it to be within days of her birth. I’m quite excited I might get my lil bro back. And bonus his wife and new baby along with it.

Chunk irl is a cool guy. He despised the image the film gave him. He lost weight, played American football pretty well and had a look at acting and said no thanks, became a lawyer and runs a successful law firm for the entertainment industry.

He will have it run in by the end of the trip for sure. Am I right in thinking the nephew doesn't have his full licence yet?

I have to say I'm pretty impressed with how you've taken to this part of the wandering about looking at things lifestyle. Most people seem to put up barriers against it and will only stay in hotels. Don't get me wrong I like hotels too but the way your doing it has a lovely relaxed feel to it and eating food you actually want to eat when you want to eat it outdoors (rather than another over oiled hotel restaurant dish served at a very specific time) has a joy all of it's own.

It appears @Six30 you are a trendsetter, Pete's staying in a deluxe shed!
