  1. I don't think I was particularly clear. My iPhone and my Garmin work together well using Garmin Drive. I drop the coordinates from google into the Drive app and boom the Garmin is ready to go. But for longer route planning Garmin Express which the Zumo is geared up for doesn't work with Mac and I really don't like Basecamp, it's clunky, like using tech from over 10 years ago. To use Garmin Express I need a normal windows laptop so that's what's coming Garmin don't do well on the compatibility front, I'd go as far to say they're crap!
  2. I've watched one of Annika and am unsure, you reckon it's worth persevering with?
  3. Don't know what those things are, windows things of the past? I was hacked off when we switched everything to Apple. It definitely isn't wasn't easier to use. But theres 7 users, about 16 devices and the thing apple do well is sync, makes work life a lot easier when everyones up to date within seconds without you having to send anything. I also can't fault their business service, they fix and replace things fast which is invaluable. Still I miss windows, looking forward to finally being able to run Garmin Express. Mac users have to use the old Basecamp software which is rubbish and while you do they send you pop up messages telling you it would be much faster and more detailed if you used Express maps which isn't available on Mac
  4. I’ve been in the cult of Apple for about 15 years and it’s great kit- so long as you stay within Apple world. The compatibility with non apple devices and the clunky functionality with some websites etc has finally got the better of me. So a windows laptop has been ordered. I will be able to route plan and transfer it easily to my Zumo and have a laptop for travelling with Really looking forward to seeing how it’s changed in the last 15+ years!
  5. What was it you were saying about not being a servant?
  6. Unusual for my age group perhaps. My Pops is an enlightened man. He brought me up to be free enough to enjoy all of it, boy toys and girls toys So I had all of the above. Apart from Barbie, she made me nauseous
  7. If I’d been on a 1200 rather than the rattly tin can it would have been a very different story
  8. I’m both Pete, seems to confuse people no end
  9. Very common to get sent for more X-rays. Usually it’s because there’s an angle missing that needs checking or that would change the type of surgery needed or increase/decrease the surgical skill level required for surgery. Mostly it’s just because the X-rays aren’t very clear, people are rubbish at keeping still when they’re in pain Good she’s being seen
  10. I stopped short of saying you didn't think less of me
  11. Hope there’s a plan in place cos I’m sure you know this but if you take her to A&E the injury has to have happened in the last 24hrs. If it hasn’t they will send her away to go and see the GP. If that’s the case then a discharge letter from the hospital and the X-rays should be handed over for her to bring back for expediency. The plane may not let her board without a fit to fly letter from the hospital, although that’s easily got around with some fibs like the shoulder harness is for arthritis. Basically everyone needs to be singing from the same hymn sheet to get on the plane and get treated quickly. Sounds shit either way so good luck.
  12. @Clive it’s Lampranthus spectabilis or Trailing Ice Plant. Says collect the seed pods once they dry and turn reddish brown. Store in an envelope or jar until ready to plant Great app, the top portion is the pic I took underneath are examples and info. Very handy.
  13. Why were her predictions always wrong too?
  14. Depends if I’m in a Benny Hill frame of mind or not Mostly I like it cos it’s not sickly sweet. Not many places you can call someone a twat or a cunt and them not take offence. Most peeps certainly can’t handle a woman saying those things without thinking less of them.
  15. I wouldn't say it's most active. It goes through lulls but it is the most responsive. Once they know you the response maybe more than you bargained for though
  16. Speak for yourself. Theres more than a few who haven't got their foot anywhere near the old folks home yet and I'm not a fucking moron.. had you said loser I'd of said nothing
  17. Most of them are listed £300 more than I paid. But they don't have the same cache, you know the gravel trap patina should add a few bucks.
  18. Depends what you like doesn't it. Some people enjoy overbearing passive aggressive behaviour disguised as advice and laughs. More importantly how do you know this?
  19. Thanks Clive. I'll update on the whole seedy episode when I've (the app has) identified the plant.
  20. It's bliss in out of season. Problem is you get used to it being great and then summer hits and your nose is put out of joint because it's covered in grockles.
  21. Thank's Clive I think I better open up Bob's app and identify what it is. Then see if they need freezing.
  22. Hmm let me get out my crystal ball There's too many variables to say for sure. Broader immunity over a longer period could mean it's not necessary to continue long term, the level of virulence can naturally decline or mutations can also occur that make vaccination essential. I suspect they'll jab the old'uns and see what happens in the fitter population and make a decision based on that. If I was betting I'd say it's likely they'll be a fifth for at least the older population while they collate and analyse the data.
  23. Very pretty. Love how solid and packed the heads are before they bloom. I have a gardening question. Theres a plant here that I like and it's flowered with some of those flowers now dying. If I wanted to grow more would I remove the dead heads, find the seeds in there and just let them dry out?
