  1. Unless you @Sofia this she's probably not going to see it. Then again missing a conversation about tits might not be such a loss
  2. In the summer theres a magic window that appears in the evening too when daytrippers want to be home and evening people arent out. Thats my favourite.
  3. Real bikes for real men that ride real Harley’s real hard perchance?
  4. Facebook marketplace is often the first place a slightly (ahem) generation will look for used goods.
  5. I think it was Buckster who wasn’t too impressed with the plastic front mudguard, I don’t mind the front mudguard being plastic. They are plastic on a Bonnie too, no rust where the rain sits around the rivet recesses then. It’s the white ‘pin striping’ on the tank being stickers I don’t like. Looks good at the moment but stickers don’t tend to equal longevity. I see a proper redo in its future
  6. Sounds like you made the most of it regardless Some lovely pics. Thankyou
  7. Lovely. Smooth, easy to handle. Not as planted as I’m used to at the speeds it can do but the suspension is to my mind the perfect combo of being able to soak up and still go round a corner.. a bit. Still running it in so not really giving it any real beans but (on a closed private road) it went to 80 what felt like quickly without trying, theres a lot more there for sure. It’s a lot of bike for the money. I hesitate to say this because I do like the T120 but I enjoyed this more. For what I think of as a low bhp bike it’s surprisingly present. It feels good to ride, nicely put together, obviously not on a par with the 9T or a Ducati scrambler build or power wise but not the rattly tin tractor feel of a RE and closer to a Triumph. It is to my mind undeniably pretty. Cosmetically the stickers really are a let down and something I can see me having to remedy in the future. I also really dislike the placement of the exhaust. If you look at the pic closely you’ll see black marks from my boots where it runs unsleeved too close the peg. You’ll see the same marks in youtube reviews so its not just me. I’ve adjusted my foot position but even so pah! It’s not a bike for thrills and spills but if you’re not after the Sunny Sunday ride experience and want more it can give you a lot more, it just wouldn’t be my first choice for that sort of thing, then again thats why I chose it. What surprises me most is how light it feels, it feels lighter than every bike we have (bar the Livewire), it is easy to manoeuvre off the bike, important if you’re not built like a brick shit house. It’s trustworthy placement wise. I’m normally cautious filtering through traffic on a brand new bike until I get used to it, this one is an almost instant connect, I found it very easy to filter with. It fits exactly into the gap I wanted it to, I feel absolutely no urge to wring it, which on more powerful bike I feel goaded into (it’s not me govn’r it’s the bike, honest) and on less powerful bikes I find myself pushing them as hard as I can and thinking more.. give me a bit MORE This is the bike that I can see me enjoying now and for a long time. If it was my only bike I would hold onto my licence but still enjoy riding. Bikes always bring a song to mind when riding them and this one out in the sunshine is the Eagles Peaceful Easy Feeling.
  8. So it is, I hadn’t noticed. Is there MOTM (Miracle of the month)? Mind you people might get confused over whether the miracle is the tide being (nearly) in or the BSA bike pic turning up
  9. Cheers. Even took one for Buckster. Thats as close as I could get to the wheely bins without attracting Mr Parkingnobwarden
  10. Evening. Rough week for me, heyho, its mostly over now. Thought best not turn up on whinymotorcycleriders.net without a pic. Pete and anyone else unable to adapt to modern life or consider things may have altered since the 60’s best look away Got the 9T out for Mr Slowly realised it wasn’t insured, I won’t say how far we got before I remembered that Got the Livewire out instead. No this is not our yard. Rode out to Mendip Auction Rooms together and cut Mr Slowly loose because these bikes are chalk n cheese and don’t really fit together, different types of fun. I deliberately went along Weston seafront to take pics for you minger losers so suck it up! and from the other side with the sun on it Somewhere on the Mendips on my way back from Shepton Mallet. Time to find another patsy!
  11. It's not happy. And it doesn't sound like the battery. Heyho. I'm going out today regardless!
  12. Crap. Down the pan. Kaput. Ready to roll and the low rider said.. nooooooo Not sure what's going on with it. So annoyed I don't care. But out of solidarity I didn't ride off Tomoz though I will take a different tact... pick a bike, any bike and I'll see you there, whether I get there before you or after depends on what you choose
  13. I half expect you to carry a chainsaw in a rucksack, nothings gonna get in your way
  14. Doesn't look like it would get you to the end of the road let alone bummed.
  15. Yes please. Would be appreciated.
  16. Yep it’s the same everywhere, not just in the UK either. So I looked at private. Surprisingly inspite of demand there’s hardly any private concerns either, we’d have to travel at least two hours, plus the ones that exist are already bunged up with desperate people. One of them is in Truro though if that’s any help. Just re-mortgage your house before you ring
  17. But this one being put away dirty, yer that’s on me. are you itchy yet Pete?
  18. Yes mum Weren’t me anyway, honest. It was due to have fancy heated grips fitted and I was away so Mr Slowly took it in. It’s a short motorway ride away so it got plastered. He offered to wash it but.. I’ve watched him wash cars and bikes and umm.. well lets just say I’m careful how I do it, all grit is removed, snow foam is used, there’s careful rinsing before any suds get near it etc etc I thought “thanks for taking my bike in but now only wash it in this very precise order” might be pushing it a bit
  19. Finished work. Am outside washing the Goldstar as it was filthy and if perchance a pic happens tomorrow Pete will break out in a rash at the sight of it.. for more than one reason I’ve even opened a box of autoglym wax I bought 5 years ago and never used, probably a tiny desiccated disc in a tub by now
  20. Sure about that? You spend a lot of time clearing up other peoples messes
