  1. Don't worry Mr Slowlys already offered up all those jokes. I won't be asking for Amigo Pescador
  2. All of what MooN said that I couldnt be bothered to. Thanks
  3. @XTreme do Spanish supermarkets sell cough sweets/sore throat lozenges and if they do what are they called?
  4. Good luck. Would you go over the asking price to get it?
  5. It usually arrives individually packaged and goes into enormous heating cabinets that look like big metal wardrobes. Everything has to all be able to be reheated to the same temperature for the same length of time. Very few foods and survive that cook chill reheat process with any joy left in them. Bit like when chefs tried to revamp aeroplane food. They all gave up and didn't want their name associated with it cos reheating all the separate components that are supposed to have different heats and textures in one cellophane bag just can't work.
  6. Tbh they might need to offer a discount to attract bookings from tourers.
  7. @boboneleg you must have some good 'might be Spain' group touring photo's?
  8. Eggs with Marie Rose sauce, a tomato which may or may not have supposed to been cooked and a block of frightening looking polenta. Are you sure you refused drugs?
  9. If it was me I'd lift the last one and photoshop it with a nice pic of their place in the background.
  10. Gimble. A handheld stabiliser for cameras. Smooths all movement out so it flows and isnt jerky.
  11. Whoever did the vid for that needs a gimble.
  12. Wow I have got a lot of shit car park shots and not lot else. Can we have worse bike pic of the month? I’d be in with a chance A slightly better balanced version These don’t have the big orange bags on them but plenty of peeps tour with just big panniers. Probably the closest thing you’re after I was loaded up and about to leave in this one hardly a bike in it though. And that’s it, all of the not completely crap phots in Spain that I have, told you I can’t be arsed to take photos
  13. Yer but you're just plugging the accommodation and the surrounding riding is a big draw for the fly hire crowd.
  14. and one of skippy's best bike shoeing the great riding in Spain

  16. Well there's a good endorsement. Thanks Bob. Over here the 45 is slightly cheaper and as they're roughly the same size I went for that one. As it will be sitting uncharged for sometime I figure it can afford to lose more charge than a smaller unit. It may also have to do two bikes potentially more than once. The phone charger element is a big pus. Being a bit stuck was one thing but a dying phone leaves you unable to sort anything out. Contingency plans when you have no connectivity and can't use google translate aren't the most fun
  17. Honestly Pete I'm mahoosively photo averse (gives away my lack of reflection ) but I'll have a look. Reckon @Sofia can help, she photographs well and has post lost of lovely pics.
  18. Are you from Milton Keynes?
  19. @Tango there are some interesting studies on how the substandard sleep and nutrition you get in hospitals effects recovery. Huge efforts were made back in the 90's to increase the nutritional value and diversity of foods and keep wards quiet at night but it proved impossible to achieve any significant impact, thats when further studies concluded you recover faster, better with less infection risk at home and started discharging people much faster. Since then the motivation for fast discharge has changed but I don't want to get into that minefield
  20. Twas in jest. Working in hospitals has let me in on the secretive and bastid noisy night life on UK wards
  21. Some may already know the airport parking for the bikes has been good right up til recently when the electricity prices went up and now will only charge the battery if you email 24 hours before and pay €10 so without warning I arrived to find two dead bikes. Looking for solutions for what is possibly an on going problem I stumbled on this brand which I'm surprised I haven't encountered before because they are everywhere. Not cheap (although cheaper than the total cost of getting stranded this time) and what price peace of mind. The joy of this version is if you use their battery conditioner you don't even need to get to the battery, you can connect the jump starter via their equivalent of an SAE connecter. No spending time mucking about getting clamps on battery terminals just plug into the port and it's done. https://www.amazon.co.uk/NOCO-GBX45-UltraSafe-Powerbank-4-0-Liter/dp/B0924V8SPC/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=E0QDI3Y7UJA1&keywords=noco+45&qid=1679316837&quartzVehicle=95-11596&replacementKeywords=noco&sprefix=noco+45%2Caps%2C133&sr=8-1-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGY&psc=1 Just ordered the jump starter to a locker for collection tomoz but the battery conditioner will be arriving next week with Mr Slowly as I wanted a UK plug rather than and EU one for those.
  22. Did you go for the Rocky creek one or decide on something else?
