What you made, making, bodged?
Slowlycatchymonkey replied to Slowlycatchymonkey's topic in GENERAL CHAT
I’ve ordered a new one. The letters are the correct legal size (ie still jumbanormous) but the extra bit of plastic on it with FOWLERS written on it has to go. Look at it, it’s absurd.. the plate that is not the bike before Pete chimes in -
Scrambler XE panniers advice
Slowlycatchymonkey replied to Scrambler steve's topic in MOTORCYCLE CHAT
Sounds good. Don’t do what I did and forget your neoprene sleeve then slide your brand new laptop down the inside of the pannier thinking it will be safer there and then discover the vibrations have gone through the inner pannier nuts and scratched the shite out of it. -

Thought it might be a size thing. You should see the size of the plate Fowlups have put on the BSA it’s fecking ENORMOUS, practically sail sized, can’t be good for the environment -

Whats with all the plates? -
Difficult to pine over something you weren’t born in time to see or use. Just how old are you?

I think she said girls not 50 year old women well past their prime

It’s a world leader in vaccines. Contributes more to the United Nations peace keeping forces than any other country (apart from the US) and is poised to become an IT superpower. Its science and technology departments are right up with some of the best to the extent they’re about to enter into space missions. They are the worlds second largest food producer. Unlike a lot of countries they have a very young population which increases productivity and has obvious economic benefits. Whatever their image of old is that’s not who they are. Colonialism died a very very long time ago and they been moving forward fast. They even reckon India could become a world superpower, their economy is growing fast, it has overtaken the UK and become the 5th largest economy. And English is a common second language with over 150 million people fluent, second only to the United States! So they have no barrier to global trade due to language barriers.

Good luck getting the bastid things connected.

Dancing, no matter how many times people see it they still don’t grasp it’s something best left to the professionals

Can’t decide whether you’ve been down the bottle or you really need to.

Calling someone else cheap is well… cheap. I don’t suffer the old fashioned oddness of being funny about money, I simply corrected your bollocks about me buying cheap crap and/or not reading instructions. Chefs use it because it’s instant and easier to control than other heat sources and is more versatile regarding what you can use to cook on it so you’re wrong about that too.

And Aga Rangmasters are made from the ground up in Leamingtion Spa

You need to get over your weird biases. India is not China, totally different mindset. They produce a lot of stuff, including 90% of the worlds measles vaccine.

Most people would consider a £2800 Rangemaster a decent appliance. Chefs all choose gas because it is quite simply better so you mate can feck right off!
-
Got an induction hob in Spain, don’t mind it but gas is much better to cook on, more nuanced heat control. Well it would be if I could get the bloody thing plumbed in. Anyway have you seen the price of electricity, I’d be frightened to turn it on

This oven thing is the gift that keeps on giving. I now have two ovens in the middle of the kitchen cos the hose that was connecting the gas has a big sticker on it saying “THIS IS NOT SUITABLE FOR LPG” Apparently a natural gas hose (which is what it’s been connected by for twenty years) will deteriorate and start leaking. Had a lucky escape there me thinks! And now the wiring diagram that is physically stuck on the back of the oven does not in anyway match the wiring thats actually there. And the poor sod who’s fitting it is in his 70’s and supposed to be on holiday right now but popped around to do install it as a quick favour Wonder how long I’m going to have to walk around this

Holymoly @boboneleg bet that was scary. Not fun for Ersilia or you but a better outcome than a stroke.

I spent a week on a Honda CBR650 and thought it was lovely but pretty uninspiring. I didn’t get that connection you get with some machines. Horses for courses n all that. I’ve never ridden a Yamaha, think I probably should! -

The 9T’s no shed, the GSF 1250’s barely a shed, the Harley Livewire is definitely nowhere near a shed and the BSA is an unknown quantity. Could be worse I could be falling asleep riding a pipe n slippers Honda -
Well the flats nice it’s right next to the SS Great Britain so these are outside the door. That’s one serious sized anchor!

Not seen that one. My boys mostly moved onto superhero films around the time of Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and Despicable Me - I liked that one! My least favourite was Wall-E!
