Nice report Pete, like the video/music combination I bet that bike runs on fumes, I know the 700x get's around 75mpg apparently
-
I need new gloves, coming back I set my satnav to get me out of Southampton via the "twisty" route but not long into the journey it decided there was congestion (who gives a fuck about that on a scoot/bike) and it re routed me back onto the "fast" route which is shit loads of boring motorway after shit loads of boring dual carriageway, it was ironically a further journey by an extra 20 miles, I suffered it all as I couldn't tap the "fuck off no thanks" button when the re routing message popped up, touch screen gloves required me thinks. Still it was a shit load of fun "filtering" through the miles and miles of backed up cars on the motorways as it was a Friday late afternoon mega rush period, plenty of cock sucking twat cagers who resent filtering and nudge their shitmobile over to try to block you and I had to show plenty of adventure bikers how it's done Good mpg, I was expecting it to be low as I wasn't exactly riding in a frugal manner but still got 73mpg, 187 miles in just over 3hrs

Yes mate

Though I am reporting that I rode somewhere 160 miles on my scooter to Southampton I had fitted my helmet with a Bluetooth thingy so I could listen to music and hear my satnat, fuck that, the ear pieces were a little snug at first, after an hour it felt like someone was crushing my head Still a ride with some pain is still tons better than driving Spoiled for choice of beds, here's the only pics I took

OK not a photograph but a short video Vicky Vixen has been visiting for nearly three years, finally she brought some cubs in, but four is quite an achievement, I suspected three but didn't have evidence of it so put a second camera out to get a better view down the bank These are rural Foxes, very different to the urban Foxes that are accustom to humans, can't get anywhere near these, no matter how quiet I am, they can hear a heart beat at a fair distance- 853 replies

Well, just had to get out on the scoot, it's been too hot lately but today was a little cooler at 22 deg Headed up the Tawe Valley to Defynog then cut across to the A470 to grab a cheese burger (fekin £4.80), down the A470 then over sheep mountain, one sheep came over asking if I'd seen Pete as she's missing him The plan was to drop in to see my old mate Martyn as I'd heard he set up shop again, he used to own Real World Motorcycles but quite for a few years, damned roadworks, I went round and eventually found the exit, off down to Mountain Ash where I found his new bike shop and cafe "Martyn's Motos", had a chat and caught up then back up to Hirwaun and the shit roundabout then off up Righos, I love these windy mountain roads with the 180 switchbacks, after Righos I wanted to invested a site for some future photographs then back tracked to run down in to Treorchy then up the Bwlch, down the Afan valley to Pontrhydyfen (where Richard Burton was born as every boring cunt Welshman will tell you ), then into Neath over the hills to Pontardawe where some wankstain pulled out on me, damned lucky I had quick reactions or I'd have been toast, would have slammed into the side of his 4x4 at 60mph. Pictures are in no particular order

Not very high Pete, they're too small otherwise, that's the trouble they're damned fast and hard to pan with when close enough to get a decent shot, at a guess maybe 40-50ft- 853 replies

Can you believe that all this was within walking distance of where Pete used to live, a short walk from Mumbles to Caswell Bay.... Seals, Cormorants, Common Linnets, Rare Choughs, Goldfinch, Rock Pipits, Stunning scenery, Guillemots, Song Thrush, Stonechats, Buzzard, Scarlet Tiger Moth And he buggered off to a very brown Spain- 853 replies

It wasn't a "Jam sandwich" it was older than that, all blue old shape Rover 3.5, 1974
-
Yeah, apparently it still has to be taxed but at £0, no records now so I'd guess it has been scrapped for a very long time However the police car that used to stop us all the time as kids is still on record SMP619M it was a 3.5 rover
-
No idea mate, I would seriously doubt it Can't check it like modern vehicles as if it still existed it would be classed as an historical vehicle and exempt from MOT and Tax
-
My Dad's Lambretta, bought in 1955 for £155 plus 7/6p tax He kept it until 1973, Pete would never have a bike that long

They all look very different if you actually look but I suppose it's a bit like car drivers "not seeing" bikers, they just don't really look conciously- 853 replies

The tiniest Bee you ever did see A "Small Scissor Bee" feeding in the Bluebells in my garden, these are very small at around 7mm long fully grown Here it is again with it's parasol, "chillin'" after a meal In the UK we have about 270 Bee species, 250 of which are solitary Bees Next time you watch them feeding, make a note of how different they all are Here's a Wool Carder Bee from my garden- 853 replies
