  1. No. I can do you a deal though! ?
  2. Also Newport, Bridgend and Blaenau Gwent. Only Cardiff and the Vale still free!
  3. I hope to have a couple of snaps on Friday. Will that be too late?
  4. Mine is three years old next month, and have only managed 11k miles on it from new. I used to do that in six months. ?
  5. Have to go to Cheltenham and Gloucester on Friday. Bike service and MOT. Have to use the dealer due to warranty. Giving me a loan bike to go to Gloucester. Hope that it's something interesting. Hope that the thought police don't stop me going through Newport on M4. Friends have had to cancel a weekend in Aberystwyth due to Bridgend County going into partial lockdown.
  6. Excellent @Sir Fallsalot! I'm glad that I've decided to stick to the roads.
  7. To be. honest I'd forgotten about it until now. Memory - fucked. ?

    Power Cut

Same here! I'll just have to try harder. Whenever I do a trip over a few days the first couple are the worst. Eases up afterwards.
  9. Not when it's moving. I dropped it today trying to park on what I thought was level enough ground. When I went to move it to a better spot the back end span round and deposited me on the ground. Bike was sat at about 45 degrees so easy enough to right it. Fortunately no damage to me or the bike. But don't tell anybody! ?

    Power Cut

Cardiff, or at least my part of it, experienced a power cut at about five o clock this morning. I knew it was five because the phone was bleating that it couldn't communicate with its base station. I'd been thinking about a bike ride so it was a good kick in the arse to get me motivated. Had me some toast and a brew and by 0620 I was on my way. Didn't bother with warm gear because I was sweating like a good un just getting ready. Piss break somewhere between Newtown and Bala. Misty over the hills. Some spectacular views with nowhere to stop! On to Bala Then on to Trawsfynydd stopping briefly on the dam that displaced a whole community to provide water for Liverpool. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capel_Celyn The graffiti translates to, "We will never yield." On to Trawsfynydd where the decomissioned nuclear power station is a stark reminder that radioactivity takes lifetimes to break down. The dam on the mountainside above the power station is the upper reservoir of Stwlan hydro electric scheme. I can remember it being built. ? He caught a fish, no idea what though. The metropolis of Trawsfynydd Barmouth being enveloped by sea mist. Clywedog with some mist still hanging about. Temperatures varied between 8degC to 23degC. From fresh to Betty Swollocks Here's the route. I only had Bala and the Trawsfynydd road in mind so the rest sort of fitted in. Didn't bother with food, but had water with me. Nice to get out but fucked by the time I got home.

  12. You just need the hedge trimmer modification as designed for me by a certain Doony.
  13. Had my first off on a CB160. My mate's bike. Bike was ok fortunately. Gravel on a corner.
  14. I'd give it a whirl. Not sure if I'd enjoy though.
  15. One way of combing the beard @Sir Fallsalot
  16. I've had to buy a book on the history of the Civil War. It seems that it all ended down in your part of the world. Difficult I suppose to find local details.
  17. Plenty of brambles there! Rather you than me. Excellent RR. Great photos.
  18. I might have whinged a little because some maniac at the helm was trying his best to destroy my damaged back! But it was only a little whinge. I did some sailing down in Pembrokeshire some time ago, maybe '12, and my back was fine. It was just after a storm with a big ground swell coming in. My gut managed to hold onto breakfast despite the fumes from the engine when we were going back onto the mooring. I freely admit that small boats and my gyroscopes don't go together.
  19. I think I got Apple TV free, but won't bother with this one.
  20. Always handy to know. A good birding area. Saw a male Hen Harrier up there once.
