  1. I am not good with the written word
  2. Nope her "You just hear what you want to hear" no longer applies. As said, it has some benefits, and some downsides too, I won't be able hear the car when it's about to blow its big ends. But strangly I can hear the sodding brakes squeal when slowing down.
  3. Back from my audiology appointment, they fitted new tubes and filters, cleaned the earpieces, a very comprehensive job that she did. I still hear next to fuck all, which at times can be a blessing!
  4. It won't, I have confidence in Loctite products, more than likely the whole handle assembly will pull off 1st.
  5. It will hold, glued where the lugs have broken off, just tried the handle, solid as a rock. In other news my hearing aid has packed up but got a audiology appointment for the start of February
  6. Well I made a effort, I started the scoot, in the shed ..........been busy repairing the outside door handle on the Dacia, the plastic cover fell off, plastic lugs broke off, wife phoned Dacia dealer for me, but none in stock, and they cannot say how long it would be till one could! arrive, so let's hope Loctite glue works.
  7. Great to hear, and hopefully her recovery from the op will progress quickly when she is at home....
  8. Quite a nice mild morning here, was raining earlier, was tempted to try for a short ride , but was informed that we had to go to Asda
  9. My wife had her knees done under a epidural anesthetic, she was chatting to the anesthetist the whole time while the procedure was being done, all she could see was this leg and foot being put in some funny positions, knowing it was hers made it quite comical, and not feeling a thing made it even more surreal, she was out of hospital after 2 days, walking with crutches, and stopped using them after 4 weeks..... all the best to your lady @YamaHead

    Pedro's food

I thought he would know with the name "Casserole" originating from the French language... Casserole......cooked in the oven.
  11. It was fabulous, a heavy beast, but once on the move most of the weight seemed to disappear, very comfy too, but too heavy a bike for a old man like me. Lol
  12. Yeh new intake rubbers were one of the 1st things I bought for the Tiger, the original ones were badly cracked and had gone very hard. My problems stemmed from the bike being stood for years, the middle carb was corroded very badly (but Bruce gave me a spare set) so the middle carb was replaced. I may have got it running sooner and better if I had a ultrasonic cleaner, carb cleaner and toothbrush were not the best for cleaning out the internal passage ways. Even with the Carbtune Pro that Bruce gave me, balancing the carbs was a fiddle, it took me more than several attempts to get it right.
  13. Yeh after gawd know how many time I had to take them of and and re install them back on I am quite proficient with them. I still have the carb balancer that Bruce gave me with the Tiger, they sure got some use. I would post them to anybody who would use them, but the cost for P&P may be high.
  14. Yes a automatic never sounds as good manual, they just droan.........my German pal sold his old manual scoot for the same reason, the poor bugger now has to manage with his GTS and 2023 T Max 560.
  15. 12.5g...13.5g....13.8g.......i think..........you could go lighter, it would be like riding a 2 stroke though.
  16. That would make his eyes water
  17. Some scooter afficionados use a mixture of weights, 3 standard weights, and 3 lighter weights, results? Some say it works, I have never tried it because I am too tight to buy 2 sets of rollers .
  18. Yeh...lighter weight, improved acceleration, slight loss of top speed, and a reduction in kpl (mpg) I sent a bit of a PM to you
