  1. If I go out on scoot then my wife is housebound, does not seem fair me out and about and her stuck indoors. So it's BSB and sitting in the garden with a cuppa.
  2. Doubt it.............. I will more than likely be watching BSB on the tele.
  3. Easter weekend , forgot it was Easter
  4. You need some van action.. @Six30 style.
  5. I put £25 of petrol in the car (1st time for weeks) and still only just above half full it was on a quarter full before. But it should last a few weeks at our present usage.
  6. Nice here but a bit cool. What to do today that don't involve manual labour
  7. I did not vote for it, so I can't complain, so iam told.
  8. We are a roll over and let em shaft us society now.........people complain about things, stamp their feet, then carry on in the same old way.
  9. Yeh....and what happens later this year when the cap goes up again? Just in time for winter, that will thin the old fuckers out, even less to pay out on pensions. Think we will move the tele into the kitchen and put one ring on the cooker to keep us warm ish
  10. I did have a private pension, it would not have made me alot on retirement, but had to draw it out to pay for a parents funeral, i got absolutely hammered with tax, and the pension company where taking a big cut out of it every year.....bastids
  11. My wife does not get full pension, but seem unable to find out why......she did have some time off work when she had our 2 kids, but not off work for long, and never been out of work. My attendance allowance made up for her shortfall, and if had not been for that one eyed Scotchman (Gordon Brown) my pit pension would have been alot more than I get now.
  12. VED for the scoot is £47 per year....insurance £70.....MOT £29.........not so much of a problem. It seems like we will have to alter our shopping habits a bit, usually do all out shopping at Asda, Farmfoods are near to us and many things (lower quality?) are cheaper there, save some money there.. No more using the tumble dryer and central heating only be put on as a last resort.....heat or eat, we will eat.
  13. Has i have (I think ) said before, my father in law told me about 1980 to buy a ticket to somewhere/anywhere out of this country........ I should have heeded his advice.
  14. I think they were hoping Covid would do that........just where do they think the average pensioner is going to find this extra money from for gas, electric, food, petrol and council tax rises.....wife is still crunching the numbers.
  15. We will have to cut down somewhere.......scoot fine at the moment, taxed, insured and has a MOT till September, so if I don't use it it not a drain on finances. Car we need with my wife being semi disabled, pay the VED monthly same with the insurance, only use it when necessary, shopping or our once weekly trip to the inlaws.... But where can we cut back? That's million dollar question. Scottish Power want us to set up a DD for £150 per month , our past monthly bills were about £70 in winter, and only about £35 to £45 in the warmer months.. I suppose there are many in a worse situation than us.
  16. Yeh a bit, trying to sort out our finances now that everything seems to have rocketed up in price.......made a big dent in our income.....having to rethink things for the future.
  17. Sunny ....light breeze.....about 6c (it may get up to 8c later. I have fed the rodents and birds.......stuck for something to do now.
  18. Not looking great weather wise here over the weekend..........and we are on granddaughter caring duties from next Monday till after Easter.
  19. Never rated them myself, seemed to have superiority complex.
  20. Try some "Start you Bastard" spray.
  21. Bugger all it seems, don't get my monthly pension till next week = skint.
