  1. Strangely I have learned to ignore it, but I do have a white noise generator (like a little radio) for when it really bad.
  2. Could be just my age, or could be small tumours on the nerves, which the guy said is quite common, but thankfully not life threatening, and little they can do about it
  3. I have raging tinnitus.. @Pedro
  4. 95% loss in right ear....90% in left ear, so by their assessment...deaf. Can hear little bits with my hearing aids, what I can hear is distorted though.
  5. I am bloody happy they did not take my bike and car licence off of me Would have nothing to do if they did MRI on the 26th of June........not having a cochlear implant!!!....they not drilling holes in my head at my age.
  6. If I had some hearing Bob I would..
  7. Thank CC.....good to be back after my fit of pique.
  8. Fuck knows what they feed it on as it looks more like a pile of curry than shit.
  9. I am slowly loosing it But if I had worked past my retirement age, which I could have done, i would have to had to finish when I lost my hearing....took my lorry licence off of me. So I try to fill my time as best as I can.
  10. Every day is the same to me, being retired.
  11. Back garden is quite a size, and having to weed the borders takes time. I had to clear the (next door neighbours) cat shite 1st.. All done now, for a while..........I have gardening.
  12. The San Miguel..I could not agree more.
  13. Tomorrow I am going to try and strip the rear shocks, adjustment collars are seized solid, Lathered them with WD40, but still seized Alloy and steel don't seem to get along very well.

I was happy with the Tiger, was nice to ride, I found it quite comfy, it seemed to fit my frame, but jeez it was very top heavy with a tank full of fuel, had a couple of oh shit it's going over moments, but it never did...

It can be quite low, mid 40,s.....but ride with a light hand on the throttle and it's not too bad.......but to be straight, fuel economy on any bike/scoot I have bought as not been a consideration.
  21. Oh yes they hold their money, I had 2001 Yamaha T Max, bought it at 3 year old from CMC Clay Cross for the sum of £1999 (they where about £4500 new then) and I see similar scoots now for up to £3000!......go figure.
  22. A Honda ADV 750 for you then.
  23. It is getting less so on the road now days, a few years ago a guy on a big bike would not acknowledge a scooter.....when parked up (not so much with my old scoot) they ask questions about them......a few years ago they would not even give you the time of day. All will say is, if your local Yamaha/ Honda dealer has any demo scoots (Yamaha T Max or Honda Forza 750) give them a go, just for a giggle, you may be surprised.......but don't ask "how much mister".
  24. On a scooter forum I look at there are more and more (old twats like me) ex bikers coming to scoots, as they seize up with age and can't get a leg over the bike any longer they turn to a step thru scoot, but most of the bigger scoots are not a true step thru like a Vespa.
  25. Now the scoots are getting 560cc...650cc and 750cc they are very capable at covering long distances in relative comfort, Gilera did make a 850cc V twin scoot, no longer manufactured. With large under seat storage, top box and cubby holes in the leg shields carrying stuff ain't a problem. My buddy has a 2021 Yamaha T Max.....electric screen, cruise control, heated grips and seat, 3 riding modes, a great machine, but at nigh on £12,000 it ought to be.
