  1. At the place I worked they would not have any drivers there at all if they sacked them for destroying engines There was one 7.5t driver, he ripped off a tail lift, tried to get the lorry under a bridge that was well signed with the height limit (height of the vehicle prominently displayed on the dash) and ripped off the roof and bent the tail lift leg, he also had several minor accidents with cars, so they put him onto van work, he chucked a nearly brand new Renault Traffic van through a hedge, written it off, they did not sack him, put him on inside work in the laundry, he left a short time after, and started doing agency work, driving 7.5t vehicles again.
  2. Motorcycle restorations.....dash cam car/bike incidents....and How to do things..... Motorcycle/scooter reviews are of little interest to me. I use to watch vids that a guy posted of tours around the Lake District and North of England...but so few watched them that he gave up doing them
  3. Very nice.. enjoy the ride. 🏍
  4. You (self employed) don't get paid for jury service, but can claim for expenses and loss of earning if your business is effected, up to £65 per day...
  5. Until our jury got dismissed it was very interesting, some of the police/autopsy photos were a bit graphic, but seeing all the other stuff like FB message's (that the accused thought they had deleted) between the accused that the police recovered was quite eye opening.
  6. I spent the 1st week going into different courts, where a official just pulled peoples name cards out of a box,I did this every day Monday to Thursday, thought I had got away with it till my name was drawn out on the Friday. Told my boss at work that it was expected to be a 10 week (at the least) case, he said "Tell the court you can't do jury service because we are short staffed at work".... I said, you ring up and tell them.....
  7. The accused parent said to the jury person...."your on my sons case ".....jury person just said "Yes".....that was enough to get us all dismissed for the case...
  8. I did jury service about 12 years ago, on a murder case, we did 1 week of sitting in the jury selection waiting room, very boring, then 1 week on the trial, but the jury I was on were taken off the case because one of the jury (not me) spoke to one of the accused parents on the train going home...
  9. The forecast here till next weekend is quite good, same as today, clear blue skies but cold (only 1c today)....warmer at the weekend but with rain....better than snow though.
  10. I am ready for spring to arrive, just for the warmer weather and longer days.
  11. Had a quick look at the scoot, I think the fuel injection relay ain't working, wife cannot hear it clicking, see if I can bodge a Halfrauds relay on it sometime soon.
  12. Cloudy, 3c here, all I will be doing today is going out to get some bread. Tried to start the scoot earlier....... points deducted for a refusal.
  13. Or on his bus.............same thing really.
  14. It is not a particularly friendly dog, I have tried to stroke it over our fence, it snapped at me a couple of times.
  15. We do not need to have a dog for a pet, next doors dog as been (my wife says) howling for the past 3 hours, they have buggered off out. she says it like it is sat in our room.
  16. It is on my wife's bucket list, looked into a visit in the past, out of our reach now. She has to make do with Mablethorpe, which is on no one's bucket list.
  17. Mine is a 40 years old drama queen.
  18. The Captur, Nissan Juke, Sandero and Jogger are built on the same platform, so in the end they are all Renault Clio,s.
  19. We call them the Buckets for this, and other reason's....only two of them and live in a 5 bedroom house!....they have a car each (i will let him off on that because his is a Pugshite ) sis in law has a new car every 3 years, she has a Renault Captur at the moment, I bug her no end when I tell her it's a upmarket Dacia Sandero
  20. definitely.......They will give the usual speech..."we are off to Tenerife for 10 days soon...Thailand in May for 2 weeks.....Australia for 1 month in September.....back to Tenerife for Christmas & New Year".......envious, me?....a bit, only of the Tenerife hol, I could not tolerate the Australia & Thailand flight... oh well, 8 weeks and we are away for along weekend. ☺
  21. My (occasional) riding buddy has been there, and on a Ypres tour too, he likes all thing WW1 & 2, I remember him saying he was there for 3 days, but didn't get to do and see all that he wanted too....he is hoping to do the trip again this year.. My wife always wanted to visit St. Malo, she is disappointed that it never happened.
