  1. Whooo!..air travel, how exciting! Not.
  2. I do not understand why they gave these bungalows such big gardens.....they were originally OAP bungalows, we got this one at 56 years old cos wife is a crip. Sister bought a 4 bedroom house just for her and her hubby, and that has a built on garage, if she puts the Renault Captur in the garage she can't open the doors enough to get out of the car.
  3. Our bungalow is only a 1 and a bit bedroom.......but it has got a big garden. Small place, lower rent.
  4. It a age thing. Mine is my inner ear problems, my wife just says "What the fuck are you doing on the floor"
  5. And I thought our £380 month was extortionate. Our daughter wants to get on the property ladder, but in the present financial climate I doubt she will ever save enough for a deposit. Her husband doesn't help, he spends money every chance he gets.
  6. Don't think it will be a very long list of participants.
  7. A bit like my (occasional) riding buddy.....he had a TMax500 and developed a itch for a TMax560. He paid £12,000 for a new one, disliked so many things about it.......6months later it was sold back to CMC Clay Cross, he lost nigh on 4 grand.......the grass ain't always greener came to mind.
  8. Once again I had a similar car, K reg too, but mine was white White seems to be a recurring theme with me.
  9. I have just looked on DVLA website, and the Capri (1.6 GT) is still on there!! Well sort of, last taxed in August........................1987
  10. Mine was like that, but white.......the bloody thing rusted away before i had finished paying for it.
  11. I may upset the apple cart next month.
  12. Village hall ...we ain't got one.. Mansfield is a town.
  13. Best idea you stay in your gay area.
  14. Bloody horrible day at Donington Park.......glad I did not go now.
  15. In our town many taxis are Dacia Logans.
  16. I have to agree with @Buckster about Scotland, I enjoyed the trips when delivering there, never had a problem with travelling around, or with any of the people, and some stunning scenery to go with it. I was delivering to place in Banchory, had a devil of a job finding it, as it was on Forestry Commission land down a track in a forest. Finally found it, and the guy who was to receive what I was deliver was wearing a kilt, hat and had a huge ginger beard, he greeted me in the broadest Yorkshire accent I have heard for years.
  17. Delete the report!...that would be a great shame......Best thing I have read since I have been (back ) here.
  18. I had a Skoda Favorit for about 1 ( before I got a firms car) year, it did everything I expected of a (cheap at the time) car, sold it for what I bought it for. My German pal had a Yeti, he really liked it, he was going to upgrade to a Skoda Kodiac (spelt wrong?) But it was too big to fit in his garage.
  19. 3 of them were only fit for the scrap yard while he owned them.... Original Mini, a iconic car, but now astronomical prices. I think you need a trip to Mathewsons Classic Car auction.
  20. If memory serves me right I think the only car my dad in law did not own (while i knew him) was a Lada. Citroen DS19.....Moskovich.....FSO Polonez.....Skoda Estelle x2..... and f@@king Yugo, none of them lasted very long, in his last driving years he drove a Maestro.
  21. I suppose some of the old Skoda jokes could be applied to Dacia nowdays, now that Skoda have moved slightly upmarket.
