This weekend I mostly be doing...er.....er... nothing.
I am planting spring bulb (having a tea break now) in the front garden now.......thought I had finished ☺ but DPD guy has just delivered a box of 50 bulbs that wife never told me she had ordered...
Place names....weird pronunciation.....the village that you passed by on the Chatsworth Estate is named Edensor, which is pronounced Enza.....why is it so?....bugger knows.
We are from the next county to Yorkshire, and they hate anyone from Nottinghamshire ( Nottinghamshire miners worked through the miners strike) who they consider to be a Scab (a strike breaker) even if the guy was a bus driver he is still a Nottinghamshire Scab.
Hi @Pedro.........the place where you stopped was was on the Chatsworth Estate, the village on the left of the photo is Edensor village........it was not originally in that location....the Duke had the old village demolished......as he could see the old village from Chatsworth House......it spoilt his view.
There is 3 inch deep pot hole on a road near us, but I know its there........council come and spray bright yellow paint around it, when the paint wears off they reapply it...
I have used them 3 times, once on the car and twice on scoot/bikes, very quick delivery and a good price too.
I did go to County Batteries for a battery recently (daughters car) but they charge top whack prices.
In fact the scoot is coming in there tomorrow, there is a storm forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, there is a dead tree the other side of our boundary fence and it is leaning towards my shed, if it falls my shed is right in the firing line.
If the weather turns really cold this winter the scoot will end up in the spare room, it is not particularly warm in there (rad turned off) but its dry.
