Been there (several times) as a ex neighbour (years ago) had a caravan in Porthmadog, Went 3 times, never saw the top of Mount Snowden, as it was always pissing it down and foggy.

    Dragon Rally

Never done anything like that in this country, j have been to 3 events in Germany though.
  4. As I have said before, there 6 bungalows here, 5 of the occupiers know how to work the system, Mobility car each, one other owns 2 newish caravans that he let's out (Skeggy ) 3 of the households have either not worked for quite a while, or at all. The youngest couple (50,s) manage to go to the Canaries at least twice a year, what do I get .....a fucking bus pass.
  5. Our elderly neighbour (shuffled off now) hardly ever worked, after her husband passes away she was able to make a claim for pension credits, she use to say that she had never been so well off.
  6. We cannot fathom him out, both me, my wife and daughter (she works all hours, nights/weekends) have always worked since leaving school, my wife had to finish work early with her buggered knees, but our son Son...He did have a Well paid job steel erecting, but he just walked out one day (20 years ago) and has never worked since. He does not even sign on.....wasted the best years of his life.
  7. Our daughter will pay us back over 3 months, non working son asking for a loan is a monthly ongoing thing, every month they run out of food money, time he got his arse to work, but its been nearly 20 years since he worked, at 43 he is getting too old to change his ways.
  8. We have saved for several years, we have got the money for a funeral for me and my wife. But daughter wants £1100 for her Pugshite gearbox repairs next week, and non working son has sent his partner round for more money for food, so they owe us £300 when she gets paid, bleeding kids.
  9. Me and my wife are having the cheap cremation, just from place of death to the local crem, and ashes returned to family in a polythene bag. Hope it don't happen anytime soon as our kids have made us dip into the fund.
  10. But my gauge lies through its teeth anyway. From full to half full, slow........half full to empty.....very fast
  11. Same here, put £10 of E5 in yesterday and the gauge hardly moved.
  12. Well that was easy, so easy that I don't know why I bother locking it.
  13. My wife calls her sister Mrs. Bucket.....Carbon copy.
  14. Got to break into my shed ....locked it up with keys inside.....only have a spare key for one of the padlocks.
  15. Saturday...watch the World Superbikes...maybe do the food shopping. Sunday....the outlaws are calling in to tell us what a absolutely fantastic time they had on holiday.
  16. Well I will be ........there is a UCR only half a mile from here, not that I will try to negotiate it on the scoot. ....end up on my arse if I did.
  17. After tonight's run I have decided to keep the scoot......did not fancy a trip to Wolverhampton anyway, they talk really funny down there.
  18. I know there is/was some UCR roads around here, but with me always been on road bikes/scoots I never bothered looking for them, Retford 45 mins from here.
  19. I was given a hours pass. when I was in my teens this was a 10ft wide river.
  20. https://www.chad.co.uk/news/people/off-roaders-now-banned-from-the-desert-in-mansfield-after-council-decision-3851683 They use to come from far and wide to ride here.
  21. I do not think its off-road credentials are very good, from what I read the suspension is more road orientated. Nowhere around here to ride off road, if you do the law is soon on your back.
  22. The scoot will do 85mph flat out, but I do most of my riding at 60mph at the most. Had no response to my (cheeky) offer as yet.
  23. 1......I ride alone (my riding buddy (occasionally) is wrapped up with his touring buddies lately) 2......I rarely ride, and when I do its only at most 10 miles from home. The majority of local roads are are 30, 40 or 50mph limits, I have never been on the motorway with the scoot. 4.....it will be something to do, the scoot is in such good condition that all I can do is wash or polish it, at my rate of milage it will be 2024 before it needs a oil change. 5.....Cheap to tax and insure.
  24. Yep you heard it right.
