  1. It is a smart meter, the housing association had it installed...
  2. It is like a comedy, rang Cadent, they were good, here in 45 minutes, did the checks, Meter is buggered, not Cadents job to replace it, have to ring our gas supplier which is Scotish power, she is talking to someone now, who is of no help at all, but says they can get someone out, but not for 4 to 7 days. After the meter has been replaced the boiler engineer can come and fix the boiler, but not before. Our main problem (at the moment) is someone that wife is talking to does not have a clue (it seems) what they are talking about....
  3. The outlaws visited us, they did not stop long. It has been sleeting most of the afternoon, so nothing to do apart from watch crap tv
  4. There is a upside to the situation, we have no condensation on any of the windows in the evenings. Ice yeh, but no misted up windows.
  5. Our daughter lives 500 metres away in a small 2 bedroom house, with their daughter (our granddaughter) and his 2 kids from a previous marriage they are over capacity. Friends .....that is a unknown commodity for us.
  6. Wife has to ring National Grid and the Housing association tomorrow, hopefully one of them will get their asses in gear and get the problem sorted, but not holding my breath for a quick resolution.
  7. https://youtu.be/6VB4bgiB0yA?si=Otvy-dMRrWNX4qhB We have this on our TV .... not helping much.

  10. Whoo Hooo!... engineer has arrived, boiler needs new parts, which will take 1 week or longer to arrive So we have no hot water or heating, and no baths or showers for that time..
  11. No engineer till............................. next Wednesday!.
  12. She is not producing hot water or heating.......hope one of her hot flushes kick in soon.
  13. A cold morning and weekend coming up and.....................the boiler is on the blink.
  14. My 1st Honda was a CB750f2n, it did most thing quite well, a real doddle to work on, the parts (plugs, oil & air filter, disc pads) were comparatively cheap too, and it was from a age where Honda,s finish quality was best. The VFR had a good finish on its parts too, but it was a bit of a pig to work on, spark plug replacing, I still have the scars from that experience, was a long drawn out affair, but with warping disc, and a exhaust that rotted quick enough to please a Italian...but it was a very nice ride, and it did excel in some area, making a average rider (like me) feel like they were a better rider than they actually were, it was very forgiving. I forgot about the Honda CBR1000f (it was a forgettable bike) that I had, a very heavy lump, suspension was all but knackered when I bought it, so it did not handle the best, it was comfy, and the finish, except for the wheels was again very good.....all in all it was a bad purchase on my behalf, i did not have it for long.
  15. We understand your problem.
  16. Would a photo of a Vespa be better?
  17. I like Hondas, i have only had 2 in my biking times, both were very good bikes though.
