Ive been around quite a lot, though not bothering to log in. sometimes there are great reads on this forum and I like to keep up with what Xtreme is up to. as I quite like him. never a bad word. ever. I did contribute. but I never had any desire to join in with anything from the likes of you and a few others. which apparently hurts. poor you. Ive never seen much use in engaging with a 11 year old trapped in an adults body. You really are horrendously immature and you proved that today. suddenly turning up just to get banned. just to get banned. trying (and failing) so hard to get banned. I can't get over that. laughable. so off I trot again. and when I come back it won't be to look at this side of the forum. and your infantile ramblings. there still are interesting reads here. occasionally. elsewhere. you're welcome.

Your memory is totally fabulous. but there is just one tidbit you forgot. That one year when everyone dropped out was when COVID was in full swing and a lot of countries were closed to us. and there was a risk that the UK border might be closed at any moment. People worried mostly about catching the lurgy and not being allowed home. personally.. I saw that as a bonus. so I went on my own. it was great not to have to worry about anyone else. got as far as the Czech Republic. and everywhere was lovely and quiet. bliss.

I’m polishing my trombone as I type. Ready at a moments notice to wave it around the parish. I might even take it with me. I’m sure it’ll go down a storm in the misty hills of Liguria. In short. Yes.

Snowed in. Day off and snowed in. I’m not bitter. Just checked the calendar and today marks 100. So tomorrow 99 and so on. Tick Tock. Meanwhile the snow is deep and crisp and even and good king Wenceslas needs shooting. I wouldn’t mind but I tripped over my imaginary 12 bore and twisted it’s snoot. a life ruined.

Definitely. all these angles of shots setting up his bike, did he have multiple cameras or did he rewind and move the camera here and there then spend hours cutting and splicing the videos afterwards. (probably) I wonder how many times he actually packed and repacked his bike. it wasn't just a single take. probably took hours. I imagine all the faff recording the trip from leaving his house to arrival at the campsite. plus all the post production - hours spent in from of his computer editing added up to much longer than the time actually spent 'doing it'. so much for spontaneity. Much quicker perhaps if he had someone with him, but I suspect not. he did this entirely on his own.

Its not so much what he's doing.. going camping. that makes me laugh at videos like this. its the faff he has gone through to actually make this particular video. just as an example.. these scenes of him riding down some road, or turning at a junction. just think of what he's had to do to get that shot. finds a view. sets up his camera. rides back the way he came and then rides the road again to get the shot. possibly doing this two or three times to get it right. And then all those shots of him getting ready to leave.. how long did it take him to film all of that. there's a reason I do not have a camera to film my trips.. and this is it. I would hate to get caught up to the point that I would go through this kind of bullshit to produce a video.

Too many words for our friend with the limited intellect to understand. How did he reply I wonder? Actually I don’t wonder.. I know without even looking.

he's there again.. and Im betting he quoted me. not just a bore. a predictable bore.

you are a troll. back under your bridge. I really don't have time for the wilfully stupid. who can only tell lies. outright lies. on behalf of some idiotic agenda. your mother must be so proud. and he's gone.

Its not a shortage of cars. its a shortage of staff to man them. same everywhere. 13 years of the Tories. is all you need to know. if anything worked they've managed to break it.
-
Is he obsessing about my posts again? I bet he is. Funny isn't it how he rushes to post every time I do. fortunately he's blocked so I don't get to see his sparkling contribution. A joke. obviously, as he is such a bore. And btw.. I booked the tunnel today. so I'm in a remarkably good mood.

My phone stays in my pocket. In case of an accident I want it with me and not attached to the bike. 2nd hand sat navs aren’t expensive.

Absonotly. I would never use such crass terms. I have this carefully constructed self image that is a model of probity. and that.

One thing I do know about subjects like this is that they are generally raised as important by people who are obsessed with other peoples sex lives. Completely obsessed. They will talk about sex or mention it at every opportunity. And what better way but to start with something a bit different? however they don’t care about that, it’s just a way to get into their favourite subject. The root cause of this obsession is very simple. You only have to engage with them for a short time to know why. They have this burning need, that consumes them. The want to know one thing about sex. What is it like to have sex with someone other than themselves?

Apparently. when people fly to Australia. They actually land in New Zealand and are drugged.

has he said anything useful? has he ever? or is he being as usual... as dreary as a forgotten cup of cold tea.

oh.. that reminds me. another backward step. one that I missed. but never mind eh. onwards and upwards.
-
And there was me thinking you had a sense of humour. or a sense of the ridiculous. has close contact with the forum troll really made you so sensitive? really? Do you honestly think I would talk in this way to you if I was even remotely serious. Given our... erm, history of interaction. I wouldn't. I would say precisely NOTHING.

I was an instant convert. place I worked at a few years back had adults with fairly extreme autism, one side effect being they had no sense of danger. The kitchen wasn't off limits, but it had several safety features built in. One of these was a very nice induction hob, which as they don't get (burning) hot is fairly safe. And as I had to use it as part of my job. well I found it to be absolutely fantastic. When the gas oven on my own cooker failed. it was a no-brainer. I will never have another gas cooker. neither a gas hob, or gas oven. It would be a big step backwards. just as I could never buy another manual transmission bike after riding a DCT for 4 years. or unblock the forum troll. these would all be backward steps. And im not bothered by insults... though it is disturbing to me how so many members of this forum are starting to sound just like six30. try to be more imaginative with the insults.. he simply can't be, but the rest of you should do better. I think you should all take a leaf out of Bucksters compendium of insults... so imaginative and endlessly entertaining. For example describing a shapeless lump of rock that might have a cave/dwelling in it as a dago midget bum palace. truly marvellous.

Connected? Its sat on my counter in the kitchen having been tested by making a pot of espresso. It arrived. I needed fuel to fill it, so went to Cotswold for that. came home. and as I was drinking said espresso. (actually a Caffè Americano) An email arrived to tell me that the cooker I just used has been despatched and here is the tracking number. why have one when you can have two? or maybe its buy one get one free. who knows?
-
Actually no. I've been down to Cotswold to stock up on fuel for my next little excursion. And Ive come home to the glad tidings that an item that was delivered today. has been despatched again. so.. Im about to be overrun by dual fuel stoves. Oh frabjous day. I feel a theme coming on.
