  1. Either of the first two photos should be in BOTM
  2. Yes, point taken . Walking it is then , get out there and put @XTreme to shame
  3. Do you have a food bank near you @Clive ? See if they want any volunteers, you’ll be doing some good and probably find it rewarding
  4. Some of those names are customers of ours
  5. Our landing and our bedroom is a bit busy with the furniture we’ve had to move
  6. I reckon we've ridden nearly all the lanes in that video Fred over a period of time .
  7. That right there is why you should never give up even if you just do some voluntary work. I average about 20 hours a week (although I do stuff on the computer at home as well). Once you do nothing you have nothing to occupy your mind and it's so easy to drift into thinking negative thoughts. It's a downward spiral from there
  8. I'm looking forward to this weekend. Not today as I have to start moving furniture in a moment as the carpet fitters are coming . Tomorrow Paolo and I will be on our way to Weymouth (in the car ) to stay there for a weekend of walking and just doing whatever we feel like, I'm hoping the rain showers will go somewhere else but it doesn't look that promising .
  9. I suspect this is one of your wind ups but if your so sure about your statement tell us what you think has been deleted. Up to you now ......................
  10. Great video here . Those boys do well on those bikes although it looks like the steps on Lime Kiln Lane defeated them. Not really surprising , I think I'd only come down them nowadays and only on a little bike. (05.37)
  11. There is no point in you having a CRF300L anyway. You'll insist on putting gay tyres on it and go around dodging puddles all day long .............
  12. Yebbut, no fecker will sell you one
  13. If he does you can guarantee it'll be some 1970's lycra
  14. He sits outside his gaff painting wheels on cars all day
  15. Maybe not that wise, my company pension is paid by a tobacco company and we all know that lots of peeps want to see tobacco wiped out. Luckily the pension trustees are pretty savvy and most of the pot is invested in exclusive property in London. All investments, pensions, savings etc are a bit of a gamble if you want a decent return but most of it is better than doing nothing. As you say , god knows what kids today are going to do about their future .
  16. Yes, what's been deleted. You can't accuse us of something we haven't done
  17. When I was 30 I worked two jobs, the second job (on an evening ) paid for my investments (I didn’t trust property) . That enabled me to pay off my mortgage early and then use the mortgage money for retirement. The point of all this is that there is no way a state pension will give you enough to be comfortable in retirement.
  18. So were you under the illusion that you could live quite well on a state pension ? What about Investments, saving bonds , private pension , investing in property ?
  19. @Six30 new van ......................
  20. Start saving @busabeast ..................... Oh wait a moment .............
  21. So can ask all you retiree's (is that a word ? ) At what age did you start planning for your retirement ?
