I may remember this day for a long time . I cancelled my camping this morning as the forecast looked dodgy and decided just to do the trail ride to the campsite instead. On the ouskirts of Bath I decicded to ride up a lane that I haven't done for a long time. There have been travellers parked up in the bottom of this lane their vans/caravans/horse boxes and whatever else they can find to live in for over 20 years , it was a bit of a squeeze to get through their vehicles but I got through and headed uphill from their camp. It was totally overgrown, obviously due to their presence nobody had been up or down the lane for a long time................ This is an easy bit, it got worse and worse until I was just trying to bulldoze my way throught it. And then it happened, a low branch caught my right foot and I was off............ Once I'd got the bike off my leg I set about lifting it up , on the first attempt I felt some resistance when it was half way up so I shoved it and felt my right bicep pop. On the next go I felt my back go I had a closer look and the branch that had me off was wrapped around the handlebars preventing it from coming upright. After about four more goes I suceeded but my arm and back felt very sore . Here is the offending branch after I'd torn it up a bit........... I knew that this day might come where i'd struggle to get this bike upright and today was the day. I need to look at my situation now as I can't risk the same happening again . The bike will probably be for sale now and I'll think on about whether I trail ride anymore .

Even in our road (on the outskirts) there are at least 10 deliveries per evening. I swear the peeps over the road have shares in scooter sales

Good choice, Henney's is a very nice cider. You can sometimes get it in LIDL ..........

Fully comp mate, no claims protected. I just left off the legal expenses, that's just a con anyway.

A small victory today. I phoned my insurers and got my renewal down from £135.42 to £98.58 I'll call that a win even though I wanted to go elsewhere. Still wasted 30 minutes of my time though

It’ll piss down on Sunday

A couple of nights ago I found another app on our TV, Pluto TV with lots of free stuff on there. We watched a film called Mortdecai, it was bloody funny. best film I've watched in ages. https://pluto.tv/en/on-demand/movies/mortdecai-2015-1-1-ptv1/details?utm_source=google&utm_medium=textsearch&utm_campaign=1000732&utm_content=10007326&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIr-aCn7nkgAMVksXtCh2DdAt0EAAYASAAEgIbMPD_BwE

I'm going camping with some e-bike wankers (their choice of name) at Pewsey in Wiltshire . I will trail ride there , get pissed in the pub on Saturday night and then make haste home on Sunday morning as the World Cup starts at 11.00 am .

We had a bloke who used to do the mule train thing, he wore a Watneys Red Barrel tray into the Hatchet as he had already punched a hole in it while performing in the Full Moon. There was a full-on punch up within five minites of him walking in there There was a pub just over the road on the opposite corner and there were regular fights in the middle of Frogmore street between the two pubs when the pubs used to kick out at 11.00pm
