I was going to say it’s a bit early to be on pints of wife beater

That's brilliant

Very good point, one of the most confusing traffic laws in France. One very irate old French bloke gave me an earful in a small village near Limoges, I don't know exactly what he said but I don't think it was very flattering .

We’ve got one of these in work at the moment. One of the best looking bikes ever imo but I don’t want to ride one. The ergonomics are all wrong

There are not many certainty’s in life but one thing is for sure, you’re never ever ever going to see a thread started by @XTreme in the motorcycle workshop section

Should have asked me first, it might be the same as the Montana and I have a spare

That must be a Potuguese sized portion , it's certainly not an Italian sized portion

There was one new face this weekend and twenty old ones. This was our first proper bunkhouse meet since covid, it was really great to see everyone again without any restrictions. We did a couple of camping meets inbetween lockdowns but this was a great new venue. https://stokesbarn.co.uk/

I've lost count of the number of times I've filled up in France during the last 15 years using my debit card and that has never happened to me (I don't have a credit card). I check my bank statement when I get back and you get a small surcharge on each purchase for converting sterling to euros but it's pennies . Like @Tango says , you rarely find a garage where you actually pay someone, it's all done at the pump. They only thing I will say is that for the past 10 years I have never filled up on the Autoroute so that may be different, I never use the Autoroute in France.

It's an internet based group , ABC, or Adventure Bunkhouse Group. They come from all over the country and we even have three in France and one in Africa.

I'm back home. Fantastic weekend of chatting crap, drinking and riding some nice lanes. I know it was a great weekend as I am shattered now

Can you amalgamate them into one at a favourable rate ?

You can do it that way but it will let you down eventually.

Yes, I was debating on which boots to wear. The Sidi trials boots offer a bit more protection but like you say the Forma's are so comfortable so I think the Forma's will be used this weekend. PS. neither of these boots identify as gay ....................

So last week when I was out on Miss America she was cutting out intermitently. In the end I noticed that it was on lanes with 'whoop' sections so I stopped to have a look and could see that the side stand was a bit loose so I reckon it was bouncing a bit and the side stand switch was cutting the ignition. I normally take side stand switches off my bikes as they can cause trouble when riding off road but I had missed this one. So today I decided to eliminate the switch, first I took the stand off ............ the springs looked shagged so they will be replaced Then I unbolted the switch and traced the wiring to the connector up under the seat and removed the whole thing I then cut the sleeving back and snipped off the connector The idea with this is too join the two wires and plug the connector back in to fool the ignition that the switch is still there. For small electrical jobs I use these soldered wire connectors You then need a concentrated heat source to melt the solder and shrink the tube around it. I use this plastic blow torch which works a treat .......... and the job is done , just plug the connector back into the loom and Bob's your Uncle
