I sort of understand it on bends especially if the rider has a background of riding moto cross but that twat had been riding down a straight road for about a mile and they all seem to do it ..............

So this is it Fred. Years ago we were on our way to the Dragon Rally when I had a whoopsee ........... After I had picked myself up and Fred realised I was missing he returned and helped get the bike out of the fence. I sat down feeling sorry for myself while Fred assessed the damage, the only problem was the gear lever which was pointing at a funny angle, Fred sorted it out for me while I hobbled around and we continued on. The gearchange still didn't quite feel right and when I got home after the weekend I saw that the gear lever shaft was bent on the tip. I managed to find a replacement part on eBay and fitted it later on but it was a bit of a twat as you had to take the clutch out and then pull the shaft out from the other side of the case but it didn't want to come out easily because of the bent tip. Anyway, I did it eventually and all was good again.
