  1. Incorrect, I've never had wooden leg and my current item is carbon fibre and titanium . Thank you for your concern
  2. Fair play but that's four too many for my liking. A group of 6 is my limit , probably why I don't do TRF anymore .
  3. Did all those go off on one trail ride Fred ?
  4. I've had this conversation with myself about 100 times in the last six months , do I replace my CRF250 Rally with the 300 version, in the end i've decided to keep the 250 . There are two main reasons for this ; the first is build quality. I have two mates who have bought 300's and they've both been disapointed with the quality, whereas my 250 is 5 years old now and has been ridden in all sorts of shit and muck and is looking better than their 6-9 month old bikes. The second reason is that hardly any of the parts are interchangable between bikes which means I'd have to spend a lot to make a 300 trail worthy as I couldn't just use parts off the 250. The 250 is by no means the fastest bike in the world but it puts the power down where you need it on a trail so I can live with the slower progress on the road.
  5. You are right about the 250 and 400 sharing the same chassis and the 125 and 175. From what I remember the DT175 MX was much better off road than the TS185 but the Suzuki was the better road bike. I rode a long distance trial in 1982 on my brand new TS250ER , I was still running it in at the time. My mate was gutted as I beat him on his DT175MX, he lost nearly twice as many points as me
  6. I couldn't possible reference what your chicken will be like as I've never actually eaten in a Nandos in my life
  7. Cheers I’m surprised they haven’t banned this stuff
  8. +1 , I walked out of the door at school and forgot all that . Don't get me started on algebra, who the f*ck uses that ?
  9. What did you have to give him ......................
  10. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/21350478/discovered-late-dad-prosthetic-limb-on-beach/
  11. I totally agree, I like the look of old bikes and then I punch myself in the face to remind me what they were like
  12. My apologies @Pedro , I turned intothe antithesis of @XTreme for 5 minutes
  13. If it's the same family I met they're from Wolverhampton, I think the guys name is Eddie ? He's got a Kawasaki VN1500, I sent him a workshop manual after our visit.
  14. Yes, I wouldn't mind doing that as I camped there last May for a couple of nights
  15. That's for a guided tour , I was happy to pay nothing and just roam around
  16. My mate had the DT250 , it wasn't as good as the 175. I had a XT500 enduro , it was a heavy lump, great engine but not great 6v electrics . Worth crazy money now .
  17. Depending on what I hear about this year I may give it another go next year .
  18. Some info .................. Suitably impressed I rode on through Pewsey Vale to get a gander at the White horse ................ and rode some more trails around Avebury but not this one, the ruts were about 2 foot deep in places and I only have 3mm tread left on my tyres On the way home I checked on the lane with the fly-tipping from last week, top marks to Wiltshire CC as they had cleared it up and then a short stop by the duck pond in Biddestone to have a coffee on the way home ............
  19. So what do you do if you have a bit of spare land, you have an interest in past times and you live in a part of the country full of neolithic monuments ? You build your own Long Barrow of course That's what some bloke did near All Cannings in Wiltshire so today I went to have a look at it , I rode across the top of Rounway Hill to get there............. and along the byway that crosses the Kennet & Avon canal to get to it .............. And I wasn't disapointed , what an amazing feat of engineering. But what's more impressive is the fact that dudes did this with basically their bare ahnds and rudimentary tools over 5000 years ago There's a locked gate to stop you from going inside but you can arrange to get access for £30 if that's your thing. I made do with poking my nose through the gate ............ and then I clambered ontop to get a view from above ..............
  20. Suzuki have lost the plot in recent years , a nice yellow ain't going to sell a bike whenb the competitor has more power and is lighter .
