  1. In the garage, made a start on doing the steering head bearings on the Rally
  2. Well you know what they say about the rain in Spain ?
  3. Nice one Chris, I just had a look at that reservoir on google earth. Tis a big bugger when it's full, what the hell happens to the fish when they drain it
  4. For some reason that reminds me of this, one of my favourites back in the day............
  5. Ride by wire throttle, rider modes, fecking TV screen stuck in front of you and it weighs 15 pounds more than it's KTM sister. Oh ! and it's not a LC8 engine , the LC8 twin was a V-twin configuration . On the plus side it looks better than the KTM 890.
  6. True, but he’s a big dude. I don’t think he’ll pass as a dago midget
  7. Having met @MooN I can assure you that he looks nothing like a midget dago bummer
  8. I have a few tales about arched bridges. When I worked for Lex Wilkinson/Federal Express we had one just like that down the road from the depot except it was 12' 9'' as I remember. So to pass under it you had to use the middle of the road, just at the far end of it (it was a double bridge) was a side-turning, so people used to come out of the side turning and drive straight under the bridge (in a hurry) while you were in the middle of the road. The number of 'incidents' (we'd call it road rage now) it caused was unreal as the arseholes in their cars couldn't work out while you were in the middle of the road and used to sit there demanding that you move over We also had more that one agency driver who clouted the bridge There are traffic lights on the junction now , probably where it's been hit so much.
  9. The maximum height of a vehicle that will pass under this bridge is 14'9'' BUT only between the two arrows.
  10. I saw the Clash in Bristol about 1979. It was obvious by the third song that they were so off their faces they didn't know what they were doing. A short while after they brought on a toaster called Mikey Dread who sounded like a speeded up version of Jamaica's mickey mouse. I left after 10 more mintues and went to the pub.
  11. Absolutely fantastic, I never tire of seeing photos of guys riding in that area. Thanks for taking us along @alfalfa
  12. I don't listen to him anymore, nowadays he sounds like the 3rd reserve for the pub singer
  13. Rear wheel locked solid as I braked (due to abandoned pants). I would rather the fence wsn't there as I recon I could have just rode into the field but as I hit it the nearside footrest and gear lever took out most of the fence until it jammed and flicked me over. If you look at the fence and the posts you can see where I hit them and carried on until it brought me to a halt.
  14. Pancreatic cancer is a bitch, it got my father in law after he had spent 5 years beating lukemia . I hope your friend is resting in peace.
  15. We rode through some trails before we got on this road, somehow some dudes pants got wrapped around my rear wheel , when I braked in the corner they got dragged into the rear brake caliper and locked the back wheel
  16. Brilliant Fred, It's all coming back to me now. Especially the fact that we spent all day drinking in that club
  17. Now I'm no expert but zooming in on a bowling green is only going to get you shots of several soup-spillers
  18. What you don't know Pete, is that accident was caused by someone's pants
  19. Do you what Fred, I've looked all day and I can't find any photos from that trip . I know that I had a big computer crash later on that year so I reckon I've lost them. If you've got the photos from that trip I'd really appreciate copies
  20. Nice photo's Fred, I knew you'd have some good stuff. I'll have to find the one where I ended up sideways in the fence
  21. It's absolutely midwinter , @Sir Fallsalot and I have ploughed our way through snow in the past but more usually it's chucking it with rain or blowing a feckin hoolie , or both https://www.conwymotorcycleclub.org.uk/dragon-rally
